Throwing my name in the hat of people not too keen on this liveblogger. We don't need your opinion right now: just blog the event.

And Lost Odyssey suffering from "Final Fantasy" syndrome is exactly what the game is supposed to be: a Microsoft Final Fantasy to appease JRPG fans and appeal to the Japanese.

Yea the blogger is getting on my last one too. Can we say poo poo on everything since you like something else better? Most likely had to wipe the cream from his pants after Sony's press confrence or he could just be like XPLAY and poo on everything.

Halo wars, meh, never did get the big Halo fascination, but I'm sure it will be great and widely popular.

it makes perfect sense that King Kong would be the movie included with the HD-DVD drive, if one was going to be included, because of Peter Jackson's intimate involvement with Microsoft/Bungie.

King Kong was his pet project afterall.

Doom is already up, as is a demo of Sonic the Hedgehog.

I agree, this guy isn't to in on what's going on. Blue Dragon will be playable on the floor, they don't really need to show gameplay. What's with the crapping on Lost Odyssey? First of all, it was the same trailer from TGS. Second...this guy apparently didn't know that. Third, Lost Odyssey looks really good. Funny that when a game gets "final fantasy syndrome" as this guy calls it, that means it sucks, but when you play final fantasy, which is 100% "Final Fantasy Syndrome" it's considered badass, but being that Sakaguchi is pretty much the father of Final Fantasy (and the co-founder of Square) shouldn't it be obvious that his creations seem like Final Fantasy? Duh. This is like saying Quake bears resemblance to Doom and criticizing Quake for it.

I think it's sad the state joystiq has fallen. Sensationalist crap.
If you make remarks, make sure you havet the facts straight.
Every other "where's the gameplay" "it's cellshaded!" comment was uninformed as if coming from some n00b.
Joystiq, what is this guy doing writing for a GAMING blog is he doesn't knwo a damn thing about games?
Did he just read the sony zzz fest of a liveblog and thought the general way to do it is pretend to be bored even if you're hit with exclusivity news right and left?

Uwe Boll: Taking names, kicking ass, making bad video game-based movies, cashing German Arts grant checks.

I'm guessing all you people going ga-ga over Portal haven't played the original game that ValvE bought (read: stole) from a college student that made it for his class project? It's called Narbacular Drop.

You play as a princess that was taken by a demon and locked up in a mountain. The spirit of the mountain helps you, if you promise to help defeat the demon. He helps you by giving you the ability to create portals in anything that is stone, not iron or other things like that. The mountain can teleport anything through itself. Try searching for it, its a great game.. can make you sick easily though, haha.

#76 - you might as well say those students stole it from Prey, as they where demoing that game 10 years ago with portal abilities.

Man, I hope Shadowrun is done right. Please, Please, do it right. Shadorun on Sega was the best Sega game ever, IMO. The universe has so much potential.

Warrior, Mage, or Decker? Implants, spells, weapon upgrades, armor, etc.

#76. "I'm guessing all you people going ga-ga over Portal haven't played the original game that ValvE bought (read: stole) from a college student that made it for his class project? It's called Narbacular Drop."

Valve EMPLOYED the developers of Narbacular Drop. Employing the creators of a game =/ stealing their ideas.

I guess you think Valve stole Team Fortress too?
