This "black 360" crap is really getting silly. That's a test kit that my cute-ass cat is pwning. Nothing more.
Yes, we'd love to see a black 360. We'd also love to see an orange one. And a green one. And a pink one. Eventually, these things may come. But the black 360 hooked up to a Samsung monitor is nothing more than a test kit.
Can we move on now?
[Update 1: posted another photo of a cute cat with the same type of Xbox 360 debug/test/review kit after the page break. Thanks, Dan!]

The Debug (test) kits are white with non-detachable internal hard drives. The Dev kits are black. That's not a test kit or a Dev kit...but it is probably just a 360 with a custom latex paint job.

What's all the excitement about?

I like the textured look to it, which must be latex paint if the Teri really knows their paint. In a way it looks close to the black silicone skin I have for my iPod. Now let's see MS release a blue 360 with the same paint The Llamma used. (find it at llamma.com)

But seriously. Kittys rock. They're warm, fuzzy, cute, funny, and lovable hugable snuggable.

Problem is I don't if you can powdercoat plastic like this, it's a baking process usually done on metal, and while they do have powdercoating for wood, I think plastic might warp and deform in the final heat which 'skins' (melts/hardens' the powder into the final finish.
Anyway. The effect could likely be done with high-gloss paint as well, but the 360 does have a molded-matte surface, so you'd have to lay down some thick layers...

That's what mine is. You can get some serious bank off of thier kittens if you can breed them pure.

If you're tired of the black 360 stuff, then stop posting about it. Or does somebody's boss have them whipped ;)

Point is, whether it's one or the other, that means it's not authentic.
And besides, who said I work in QA? ;)

1. XBox360 Development kit - is black and haves a non-removeable hard drive , the hard drive is also bigger than the retail cause developers first test the game from it and then test it on DVD9
2. XBox360 Reviewer or Test Kit - is black and haves a retail removeable hard drive , this console is not different in hardware is only different in color.

If you're willing to buy then I'm sure they're willing to sell, though you should know the MSRP on a kitten-geometry combo is actually $312...so the Games Division at Microsoft might finally start turning a profit.
