Is it just me who doesn't understand the winners image?

In the new Lego Star Wars game, Chewy can pull the arms off of stormtroopers.

#2 - Don't worry, I don't get it either. The other ones you can at least look at them and go "Ohh.. hahaha." This one was just a general "WTF?" Love the painting one though. XD

I got top spot on the runners up. That's good.
Mikeawesome @ Oct 3rd 2006 12:39PM
Guys, I think you fail to remember one thing; you must always "Let the wookie win."
All Your Lost Socks @ Oct 3rd 2006 12:43PM
Aha. Makes sense now I guess. Thanks gwangi.
Justin @ Oct 3rd 2006 1:04PM
Bummer my pacman one didnt even make it to the runner-ups... Ohh well always next time :)
strider_mt2k @ Oct 3rd 2006 1:18PM
"Droids don't pull people's arms out of their sockets."
LaughingTarget @ Oct 3rd 2006 1:56PM
I know how you feel, Justin. I entered this one: http://img301.imageshack.us/img301/1/konankombatsq7.jpg
Feels pretty bad to get beat out by floating torso volleyball.
Tob3z @ Oct 3rd 2006 1:41PM
cheers gwangi. It's good but the painting one is the best IMO
Amos @ Oct 3rd 2006 2:37PM
I lol'd. You'd have to have played lego star wars II to get it, but it's freakin hilarious when you do and realize for the first time that Chewie's melee attack is mauling the enemies and pulling their freaking arms off ;).
Crosswayboy @ Oct 3rd 2006 4:05PM
Laughing Target: You can kiss my ass- that floating torso volleyball one was mine. It was the first one I've ever done and I'm happy to see it as a runner up.
Just because yours didn't make it as a Runner Up doesn't give you the right to hate on mine. Take a cue from your friend Justin and hope you make it next time instead of insulting someone else's and re-posting your entry because you think it should have won.
Judd @ Oct 3rd 2006 9:13PM
Crosswayboy I thought your volleyball one was one of the better ones. In no particular order my favorites were: The Miyamato conducting one, your volleyball one and two which weren't runner ups( Price is Right, and Halo Wars meets Dead Rising).
LaughingTarget @ Oct 3rd 2006 10:03PM
Crosswayboy -
That wasn't an insult toward your entry, but more of a degree of frustration at myself. I failed to utilize a critical rule of comedy - knowing your audience. The audience in this case was Joystiq, and I made that around a different audience, Netjak. The two groups clearly have two different ideas of funny. Netjak is big on YTMND, and the Conan is a Crocodile one is one of our particular favorite. I had made the error of assuming that YTMND was well known and would garner a few chuckles. My mistake.
Yours was better gagued toward the audience in question. They seem to like things that are a bit, well, off-beat. Instead of reading the various postings and trying to bead in on what folks like Vlad and Kyle liked, I went on and thought of something *I* was amused with. You didn't.
Crosswayboy @ Oct 3rd 2006 11:24PM
Laughing Target, thanks for clearing that up. Sorry if I sounded defensive, it just set me off for a sec since it was first ever entry and all.
Crosswayboy @ Oct 3rd 2006 11:28PM
Oh, and thanks, Judd!
bbelt @ Oct 4th 2006 2:06AM
In the "creation of man" spoof, was the black box part of the joke or was that added by joystiq for our safety? God I hope that was a joke.
Galley @ Oct 4th 2006 8:57AM
The "winner" was easily the worst of the bunch.
CJC @ Oct 4th 2006 3:51PM
Awesome! I'm a runner up! Apparently you guys like famous buildings with famous ceilings (but not as much as Legos. I don't blame you, WHO doesn't love legos?)
@18 bbelt- I actually did include the black box myself, because SOMEBODY would no doubt bitch about it. It never hurts to be safe.
