New Mass Effect eye candy
IGN's new Mass Effect screenshots show that BioWare's sci-fi RPG is progressing nicely in the visuals department. Our X06 recon team was also impressed with the game's conversation branching and squad command features. The only bad thing about this game so far is that it won't be out until next year. How do you and your Xbox 360 plan to pass the time?See also: BioWare prepares to conquer portable gaming

Playing GoW and XBLA games of course. Oh and I will also have that other console called the Wii to pass the time...

I'll play Gears for a while, but I don't know if that will appease me for months. I wish Mass Effect was coming out for the holidays.

Splinter Cell DA/Tony Hawk Project 8/Gears of War/Zelda Twilight Princess/Lost Planet...
that should get me there...although I heard on the latest 1upshow broadcast that Mass Effect may be getting pushed back to Fall of 2007.

You know what? I think the best thing about HD next gen gaming is that the screen shots look good at PC resolutions...
I can finally look at a screenie and say hey, that game looks good. Before, SD res stretched to PC resolutions was just terrible no matter what system it was for...
niindre @ Oct 3rd 2006 2:53PM
Lost Planet, what else? Oh, Test Drive: Unlimited until then...
NorCal05 @ Oct 3rd 2006 2:55PM
I finally finished Oblivion, I will go play outside for a while until Mass Effect comes out. Oh who am I kidding I'll get GoW after trying to resist for about 2 weeks

Gears, NFS, Lost Planet, Tony Hawk and F.E.A.R.

I think UbiSoft will keep me busy until BioWare arrives... of course some GoW and NHL will help.

Sadly, I dont think this game is not coming out as soon as we think/hope. Its incredibly ambitious, and will most likely get delayed till at least July/August. Personally I dont mind. Bioware can take as much time as they need, as long as its the best RPG Ive ever played. :P
BUT the good news is as a Wii60 owner I will have plenty to play until then. Splinter Cell: DA, Rainbow Six: Vegas, Gears of War, Lost Planet, Alan Wake, Zelda: TP, Red Steel, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Bros: Brawl, Madden 2007 (Wii), Final Fantasy 3, and God of War 2 (I cant tell you how happy I am this is a PS2 title). Plenty there to hold me over :D

Gears of War of course...Bioshock, Splinter Cell DA, Forza Motorsport 2, Rainbow Six Vegas, Small Arms, Resident Evil 5...well actually there's alot of games I'll be playing lol. I'll make do until then just fine I think =).

Mmmmm...eye candy.

Man, after this media-gasm this game is my Reason #2 for getting a 360. My resistance is waning fast, though my wallet is still putting up a pretty good fight.
Oh, Halo 3 is Reason Numero Uno (I'm a bit of a Halo fan).
Tomas @ Oct 4th 2006 4:19PM
pretty graphics... but what does it matter if it all runs at choppy 30 fps like we saw on that Xbox Live video featurette?!?! Where's the next-gen that they were talking about with CG graphics generated by the in-game engine all running at 60 FPS? I think if anyone is going to pull that off it'll be the PS3.
i'm seriously sick of games that don't run smoothly or run at speeds slower than the human eye. it doesn't speak very well of the so-called next gen.

one thing i like about Bioware is that they always deliver top notch games, you can count on them to give an expierience you'll cherish for years to come.

Blitz: The League. Finally got some friggen information that it's not just a visual upgrade (today!)... More customization, more teams, tweaked interface / controls...
Oh yeah, and Fuzion Frenzy 2. That Sumo-ball game in the demo was freaking sweet! Reminded me of that Twister corkscrew demo disk for Fuzion Frenzy 1...

I'm gonna pass the time by buying used XBOX games dirt cheep, and I'll invest in GoW too. Heck, I still need to get those last 4 achievments in Oblivion, but the fighters guild is not nearly as fun as the Dark Brotherhood.
I'm concerned about Mass Effect. KOTOR was awsome, but the maps were painfully confined. I dream for Mass Effect to be dozens of small, open worlds, but it doesnt seem likely.
Bub @ Oct 4th 2006 12:57PM
How do me and my 360 plan to spend the time? Well, we were thinking of spending some more hours indulging in graphics that run at under 30 frames per second... you know, like all the other Microsoft crap. Sure can't wait til the ps3 comes out. Oh, wait, never mind that... I bet the Wii doesn't skimp on framerates, either! Hey! Bill gates donated money to AIDS! Did anyone notice that he also invested heavily in US pharmaceutical companies that charge many times over what can be gotten elsewhere? And that the stock value of those companies has gone way up? Oh, I forgot to mention his bed-time with Ubisoft, but that's a whole other story...
OTAM @ Oct 3rd 2006 8:44PM
What will I be doing?
Phantasy Star Universe.
Imadogg @ Oct 4th 2006 2:00AM
I can wait, but this sure as hell is a must-get game
