Blizzard reveals Burning Crusade collector's edition
Blizzard has announced the contents of the Burning Crusade collector's edition. Including the game itself (on both CD and DVD), you also get:
- An exclusive in-game pet, the netherwhelp. According to Blizzard, it is the offspring of the nether drake flying mount. Blizzard promises an image "in the near future."
- The Burning Crusade CD soundtrack
- "The Art of World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade," a hardcover coffee table book.
- A behind-the-scenes DVD featuring two hours of footage
- Two starter packs for the WOW Trading Card Game and "three exclusive tournament-legal" cards (Leeroy Jenkings, perhaps?)
- Map of Outland mouse pad

Nice extras. I especially enjoy these types of behind the scenes DVD's.

I loved the art book for WoW, I know I'll love this one. I'm also a sucker for the vanity pets. :P

If the original game's collectors edition is any indication, this will be rarer than hen's teeth (or at least the demand will greatly outstrip the supply). The first collectors edition fetches $300-$400 for an unopened copy on eBay.

AT #1, you're the noobcake. Hunters can have 2.

I think you mean Leeroy Jenkins..

AT #6, Joystiq is talking about player pet's such as Mini-diablo and the new Netherwhelp. Pets that don't attack, they just follow you around. You're the noobcake, noobcake.
Royale @ Oct 4th 2006 9:16PM
Let me bake you all a noobcake... including your mount, which could be classified as a pet, you could potentialy have 3... lol. Why can't we let joystiq be sarcastic sometimes without having to point it out?

Still wrong. You forgot about sub-pets/guardians like the gnomish battle chicken or exploding sheep.

World of warcraft is hip and trendy

A mouse pad? How lame is that! In the original WoW CE you got a CLOTH MAP of Azeroth, one that you could hang on your wall. How nicely would a map of Outland fit with it? That's right, and still they give us a mouse pad which most likely doesn't even work with optical mice.
I'm still going to get one of these babies, if the price is right (a hundred dollars is not right).

I doubt Leeroy would be one of the special cards, if only for the fact that he's already confirmed as a card in the regular set.

Noobcakes.. MMM sounds like they are full of Trans fat. Why are people so insulting to others when it comes to WoW? Geeesh.
