In a move that will disappoint many a fanboy come November 17, EA announced today that Fight Night Round 3 won't see the light of the PS3's super-rare blue diode until December 12. That's nearly a month after launch, but still well within Sony's self-defined "launch window." To help ease this blow, EA has released a few new screenshots and revealed some sweet new PS3-specific upgrades...
"Get in the Ring mode allows gamers to experience the fight through the eyes of the boxer from the moment they step into the ring until someone is KO'd. The unique first person view can be played on or offline, throughout the career mode or in single bouts. Gamers will experience the sensation of the sport with different visual and audio effects occurring throughout the fight such as ear ringing, restricted vision, flashes of bright light, color shifts and blur effects that simulate the sense and feeling of getting punched."
Sign me up! This wasn't on my launch list, but I'm now looking forward to December 12th.
