I'm surprised Tetris is not on the list.

Mine has to be Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. That has to be my favortie game...even though I beat it a while back it never gets old. The battles are not only relaxing when I'm mad but they test my strategic skills.

1. Tetris
2. Halo 2 on live (only because I rock)
3. Unreal Tournament with max bots on that map with the two huge towers. Great stress release.

Megaman games (2-5) (NES/cube)
Double dragon (1-3) (NES)
Zelda (1-2) (NES)
Tetris (DS)
Mario (1-3 NES), World, 64
Smash brothers (64, melee)
Mariokart (SNES, 64, Double dash, DS)
Contra (suprised only 1 person said this one)

most of these you can win in a hour or less

megaman 2 or 5 definitely (sometimes i just leave either one on and let the music play in the background)

mario 3

gunstar heroes

Doom 1, 2, or final (not 3)

These are the games that i just sort of pick up and play when I'm stressed out. I know them all so well, I can kind of float through them, but it calms me to follow the patterns swiftly.

The Sims for SNES. The one about building a town, not the one about people..

The music is awesome on that game, very peaceful.

Mega Man 2? What? That makes no sense. That game (like any of the first 5 Mega Man games) is hard! Just thinking about it makes me angry! Aaaargh!

On a side note, it's weird how I could beat those games easily when I was about 6 but when I go back and play them now they're hard as hell. I wonder what happened between then and now...

1 - Street Fighter 3: Third Strike
2 - Final Fantasy Tactics
3 - Super Castlevania IV ('cause my whip can go all over)
4 - Halo
5 - Any Mario title (non-sports/puzzle/rpg, etc.)

That's the way , uh-huh, uh-huh, I like it.

Animal Crossing really should be put up on top of this list in its own special box. The game is fucking ZEN.

Outrun2 (or SP) arcade in Heart Attack mode, nothing gets you mood up like a girl cheering for you. Kinda addicting if you ask me.

49. Luke: Yes! That is a great one. M-M-M Monster Kill... You could keep those going for the whole game.

The antithesis of comfort gaming for me is Geometry Wars. That is the most stressful game I have ever played. I've both sweat and gotten dizzy playing that game (I did have the flu at the time and it was my first time to break 1 million).
