I'm actually pretty excited about this game. I really enjoyed EverBlue 2 and can see the potential for a treasure hunt/race over WiFi.

"It's interesting to note that a diving site not only picked up the story, but presented it with such enthusiasm, while at the same time having to explain the Wii to their nongamer audience."

And I would have been quite interested in reading the way they explain the Wii but can't find a link to their site :(

Red Ocean is an upcoming video game title about diving, but I don't think it's for the Wii.

Forever Blue sounds cool, though!

@Willy Volk

If you follow the links, it only says it's for PC (who knows it might go to console)... That aside, it's an FPS that's based mostly in and around water. Not really that much of a scuba game.

But I bet it will be pretty all the same. I wish we saw more games in unusual, reality-influenced environments.

see, this is the reason why the Wii will be fantastic... people make games like this alongside games that we already are getting... the huge range of games is amazing... and that's what's great about the Wii... just like the DS... I was the only one who got a DS when it launched... I knew 3 people who got PSPs on launch (and I got one too)... but then when I showed people my DS, they really started getting more and more into it... even people who weren't handheld or even console gamers started being interested, because they had games for everyone on it... I now know at least 13 people who have bought a DS/DS Lite since I first got mine when it launched, and that's not including people they know who bought DSes... I still only know 3 other people with PSPs... and it's because the games are for everyone... you can get experiences you couldn't get before... I'm all for games like this for Wii

(after seeing the impressive Red Steel graphics, I think this platform can deliver a good diving experience as well)
