Man, can't wait to get my hands on this. Does anybody know if more than one person can play on the multiplayer setting online on one consle...if that made any sense...

okay, so I just downloaded it (more to see what the graphics look like than to play the multiplayer) and frankly..... what the hell? it looks like they are using textures from the current gen versions for this. it looks like an Xbox 1 game. and anti-aliasing is disabled, for some reason. I thought they could use 4xAA without a performance hit because of the 10MB of VRAM. Am I wrong here?

i'm assuming these ugly graphics are just for the multiplayer modes so as to maintain frame-rate.

I saw the single-player demo running at E3 this year, and I KNOW the real game looks a hell of a lot sharper than this.

oh, well..... it's not like I'm NOT going to buy it

yes the graphic are downgraded a bit for frame rate in the muliplayer section of the game...but single player will look amazing!

stuck at work so I can't check it out yet. But this has always been the case for Splinter Cell games since day one, they ALWAYS look worse in multiplayer vs singleplayer. Looking forward to see how the game dynamics work out.

ah, well I was unaware of that because I never really play the multiplayer part. halo 2 was my flavor for online fightin'

I guess I'll just have to wait another 4 days 12 hours and 38 minutes 19 seconds before I can see the graphics in their full glory.

They have good discussion about Splinter Cell Double Agent on this week's 1Up Show.
Very well worth a watch.

I played it and was pretty impressed. I noticed in GRAW that the multiplayer did not look as nice as single player and thats probably just because the online element requires a lot more of the 360 brain than single player. But for a game that most people will buy for single player, they should have had a single player demo. I'll be picking this one up this week though.

I like the remote hacking. It adds a new flavor to the game. I would give the demo a 96% score for a demo. AND IF YOU PEOPLE THINK THIS LOOKS LIKE CURRENT GEN ON THE MP come on. Pop in the old one and you will see the new one is far far superior.

i can't wait till this game comes out. i don't know why u think this has bad graphics, there actually pretty good. yes, they can be way better, but that doesn't mean there bad. the gameplay is what matters anyways, and it delivers. this was probably some of the most fun mp gaming i've had for a while. if u haven't downloaded this, go do it right now.... GO!!!

It would be superb if I could actually get into a game. I've only been able to play the actual game 2 times so far. I goto quick match and it just sits at "Joining a session, please wait..." until I just get sick of sitting and go back to the dashboard.

The last multiplayer version of Splinter Cell I bought had trailers to make ytou think you could play 4-on-4, but when you bought the game you quickly learned that marketing lie resulted in four players total. Thanks, Ubi.

Of course, Ubi has been setting new low levels of delivering satisfaction the past couple of years. Aside from the above, the last Rainbox Six has the challenge of a dead toddler. Right out of the box my friends and I successfully finished all multiplayer maps using pistols only.

And how much download content should we expect for multiplaying continuation? Recently, Ubi has changed it reward system for their loyal customers by charging them for additional content download.

Sorry, I'll download the demo, but I seriously doubt Ubi for the Xbox is something I'll ever consider again. I just switched back to PC gaming after a four year absence, and all thanks to Ubisoft.

I'm gonna be honest here. I'm a huge fan of the SC series, as I have owned every one on them. I have spent way too many hours on xbox live with the last two games. After playing this game I am disgruntled to find out spies have NO DEFENSE! No tazer gun for the spies. What the hell is that. And it's not just the gun, it's also losing the ability to launch smokes, flashes and chaffe to certain areas. I'm going to buy it, I think the graphics are awesome, movements more fluid, and maps more interactable. But when you are spy the only choice you have when you see a merc is to run. They have completely dumbed down the game for the recreational gamer. I have talked with all my friends that are sc addicts and they all feel the same way. We are going to play it, but we ain't gonna like it. They have really done away with the spies ability to be aggressive. That's my 2 cents.

@21
by gimping the spy's ability to play aggressively they have restored the original balance to the game.
The spy should not be seen or heard; it's hide-n-seek, or cat-and-mouse, and if you accept that the game plays great. The spys are fast and fluid, and on the demo map I've been able to keep 3 merc's guessing where I am while remote hacking away.

Personally, I really like the change in balance, it rewards the spy for being stealthy.

22, yeah I know you, you were the guy that always got powned on the previous two games as merc. Now you have a chance. The objective was never for us to go out and go looking for mercs, we always went out to get the objectives...and when a merc came along and tried to kill us, we had a defense. We do not have that now, do you really get enjoyment out of running for your life the entire game without consequence for the mercs. At the very least in the last two games we could tazer them and run out of a bad situation, it gave us at least 2 seconds where the mercs were not on us and we could get away. It's not possible anymore. Sure you can crawl in a hole here, and climb a pole there, but the frags take away 90% of the hope of you getting away with your life. And on top of all this, they take away the health boxes, spies can only carry one item, the mercs keep the spin that knocks you down....and on and on and on. The game it seems at this point is not a fair balance. My prediction is that the novelty will wear off soon after release and everyone will go back to Chaos Theory.

For a first time SC player, I think the multiplayer is brilliant. Playing as a spy is truly addicting - the idea of not being able to blast your way through a map is intriquing and challenging. I think the ability to remotely destroy lights, not to mention break glass as a diversion, evens the odds if not tips them in favor of the spies.

I wasn't planning on buying this (with all the other games coming), but the demo made me a believer ;-)

Intriguing and challenging? NOT. Dude, I've played the multiplayer on the demo. I find a hiding spot, download then go drop off the data. No challenge. For me, when I get bored, I go play with the mercs. There is no diversion when they have something that tells them when you are within 15, 10 and 5 feet. Breaking glass is not a diversion, its a way to gain access to the terminals as you cannont hack through the glass...it's a way of escape. Good spies will never be seen and after awhile, will be bored and stop playing. This game will have very little play after 3 months. You like the game, and no offense, to your own admittance, you are a noob to the sc series, I promise dude you would not feel this way if you played the other games. I'm already waiting on the next game, ubisoft I promise will give the gun back to spies.
