Last time we ran one of these was over six months ago. The Wii was still called the Revolution, the entrant was in German, and it was number 14 in our ongoing series of possible Revolution Wii interfaces (the history of which has been preserved after the break). Many early contenders ran with the mockup artist's preferred "Nintendo RS" moniker and, like the Wii-mote mockups that flooded the net prior to its TGS05 unveiling, none of them got close. At least, close to our latest contender, who very well may be Mr. Nintendo himself.
A series of eight screenshots have crept onto the NeoGAF forums purporting to show the Wii's interface in all its easy-to-use glory. The above screenshot illustrates what happens when you hit the Wiimote's "Home" button: Wiimote battery levels, an option to reset the console (but not power it down?), and the option to return to the Wii Menu. Other screenshots show the disc-loading screen, the Wii channels menu (which we've already seen), an address book/notes screen, three pages of system settings, and Nintendo's obligatory "Health and Safety" notice.
We have to admit we're a bit disappointed that these have just now shown up with only about a month to go before we can spend all day fiddling with our own Wii's system settings. Are these legit? Legit enough for us to quit our series? We're having a hard time finding fault with any of the screens so, using the collective power of the internet, let us know what's phony and/or not phony about 'em.
