Damn, I haven't finished all the premium modules from the first game yet. Gothic 3 is looking pretty sweet, too. Too many games, not enough time.

NovaCharged:
Are you for real?

Anyway, can't wait to play this game. I hope my PC can handle it.

It's amazing how Nova managed to twist a positive outlook on a forthcoming PC game into a 360 bashing bonanza. =/

Get off the computer little boy, it's past your bed time.

I need a good PC game this christmas... and it is either Gothic 3 or this one...

I shall have to do more research into this matter...

NovaCharged, this is a PC game... and I don't think that comment is needed.

Anywho, I wanna see what this has to offer. ^_^

I'm getting both this and Gothic 3 before 2006 ends. The question is which one I buy right away and which one I ask to get for Christmas. Havn't decided that yet.

Given the strong mod community support for the NWN franchise (4,000 to date), I would think the D&D game would have more long-term value than Gothic 3. But they're both looking pretty sweet.

The Planescape trilogy mods look cool.

I'm looking forward to this game with a level of expectation bordering on madness. NWN sucked me in for 5 good years of first playing sp and community mods, then joining a longterm online community, then another, and finally contributing, scripting, and building for one. I can honestly say that it's the reason I decided to dive into C++ and I'm hoping for another 5 years of awesome gaming. I won't deny I'm a huge fanboy for this game (limited edition pre-order and prereleased toolset anyone?), but I will say that NWN deserved every reward, and good review it got, and I hope NWN2 lives up to that, supposed extensive hardware requirements for running a capable server notwithstanding.

Hurrah for prancing around as an elf at 2am!

I'm with you JawKnee. I already have the Limited Edition preordered and have played around with the new toolkit. Yes...I guess I am a D&D nerd, at least at heart. You might want to keep that comment about Elven late-night prances under wraps though. ;-)

Everyone creates a Drizzt clone first time round anyways, so why not roll with it.

You know, I bet various people's reaction to this post says alot about the kind of geek you are.

Personally, my reaction was "Svirfneblin? Dude, I haven't played one of those in years! Awesome!" And yes, it's spelled "svirfneblin," with only one "e". I think this translates as "has played way too much D&D in his life."

@13

Drizzt? Sorry pal, I'll go for a Jaraxle-clone. As soon as I can figure out what the hell he 'is'.

@11

I am totally in your boat. I loved playing my svirfneblin. I was a rogue/cleric multiclass. Strange combination, but it worked pretty great.
