While we love to talk about how the Wiimote controls and is reinventing the way we play video games, we never knew that the device could be used as a more traditional remote. Well, it can't. But a Wiimote that has been specially made to do so can! And that's exactly what Nintendo Japan's Club Nintendo Platinum members received as a bonus recently.
One such recipient over at IGN took a TON of snapshots of the Wiimote look-a-like, as well as documenting the whole experience for the internet. Final verdict: it's cool for about 10 minutes.
