Bored moron tortures Xbox 360 Customer Support
19
"Brautigham" seems to be spending his October torturing Xbox 360 Customer Support personel with a series of increasingly racist/obscene prank calls (audio not safe for work or tender eardrums). He's fairly skilled at being a patronizing ass, which no doubt comes from years of practice. If you happen to know him personally, several heavily accented headset jockeys on the Microsoft payroll will surely thank you for slapping him across the face.

Well at least the victim of that call wasn't just going to sit and take the dumb insults, the bit i don't understand is why don't they just end the call when people start being pricks.

Not only was it a waste of Customer Supports time, but that kid wasnt even clever. In that short clip it sounds like he stutters almost as much as Jimmy from South Park.

That was the worst prank phone call I've ever heard.

To be honest, it sounds like the operator had had enough of whiny Halo 2 fanboys and really couldn't care less about fixing the problem.
If you're going to prank call a service like this, at least use a little bit of imagination.
In addition, Halo 2 'really' wasn't that good, seriously. Step back from it once in a while and you'll realise how mind-numbing it is.

There is nothing funny or insightful about this at all. I'm sorry this post has wasted my time. I love the halo 2 prank calls at soundspoof.com but this is just sad.

There's nothing funny about this. Where's the punchline? Where's the joke? Two Thumbs Down.

My two cents:
First off, I didn't listen to that - didn't like the idea in the first place, didn't feel a need to listen to it to verify that feeling.
The Xbox 360 Customer Support, when I called them a few months ago, didn't know ANYTHING.
It seemed very much like they had a little flowchart, and if your question wasn't on the flowchart, they picked the closest topic and tryed to force you down that path.
They may have been understaffed and just trying to get people in, but I had an extremely hard time not being condescending when I called because they clearly had no idea what they were talking about, and wouldn't admit it.
I ended up staying on the phone for 30 minutes, during which they tried to ask me a bunch of diagnostic questions, when there was NOTHING WRONG WITH MY CONSOLE in the literal sense of the term.
There was a software issue I wanted to talk about, and they weren't equipped to answer any question not on their little cheat sheet.
Having such a sheet isn't a bad thing - they could help the majority of people that way.
But they should have had some way to contact someone who knew what they were talking about, or some way to refer me to someone else.
Instead, they wasted 30 minutes of my life, plus 30 minutes waiting time. And in the end, when they finally admitted they didn't know, they didn't offer a solution of who to talk to.

What's the point of posting this? It's not even funny! And the tech support guy totally owned him at the end.

I called the Xbox Customer Service when my Xbox 360 started having problems and I thought they were extremely helpful. I told the customer service rep that I tried all of the troubleshooting tips on the support website so they had scheduled a repair for my Xbox 360 without any hassle.
I wish more customer support was like the 360s.

my xbox 360 died the symptoms included the screen freezing into a checkerbord like pattern and then the three red lights of doom lighting up on reboot, i followed the instructions on the troubleshooting letter to no avail. personally i think it's one of the cooling mechanisms cause it works fine untill after a couple of minutes in play mode. then the heat starts causing a malfunction. I almost want to try and fix it my self but the thing is still under warranty. but so far i have no complaints on microsoft's customer service
