PlayStation 3 launch window titles announced

Are PS3 supporters capable of remembering the fact that Sony called the Wiimote gimmicky and blasted Nintendo for the use of motion sensors in their controller but yet had a change of heart later that year at the E3 expo? Also do you remember how Sony called the DS gimmicky when it first hit the scene? Now look what happened to the DS Killer..... Just something to reflect upon while you purchase your Wii Killer this time around.

Launch titles don't look so bad. They have more than the 360. NFS:MW, PGR3, PDZ, Kameo, and COD2 were the only ones I picked in this "launch window". Although after the window, seems a bit dry for Sony, (just like for the 360).

lackluster line up for a launch, I know.. But you cant expect sony to lay over and play dead (thats for the SEC to determine) just beacuse of fan boys.....

I'll have all 3 systems and I will hate spending money on them+ games EQUALLY, except for ID games, I would love to have the two John's babies (and by that i would love to have babies with there current/futre/past wives)

The DS is gimmicky. The Wii is gimmicky. The PS3 SIXAXIS is gimmicky. Unfortunately, gimmicks, like fads, usually sell well if they catch on. Hell, look at pokemon, pogs, and gap clothing.

If you don't have a 360, it is a very good launch. If you do, it is the worst launch in history. Could be worse though, their main killer app could be comming out on the gamecub... I mean PS2 a month after release. *coughzeldacough*

actually AEX i would say all the consoles launches were pretty bad... i mean for instance 360 didn't have anything worth buying for nearly 4 months after launch AND it has the dubious honor of being the first console that charged MORE for the same content you were getting on other systems right off the bat.

(personally first game i bought for my 360 was fight night 3 in february and i've only bought4 games since, 2 of which are multiplatformers DW5 and SW2... i know i know rehash rehash... my fiancee likes em...so i was compelled)

If you open your eyes you can clearly see that the 360 is the gaming console of choice this gen. They cater to there consumers with new games and add-ons. This is why you should buy a 360. I will be sad if MS leaves the console business. I love my 360 and xbox and gamecube and 64 and snes and nes. Gaming is more personal with MS and Nintendo. Sony treats us as a number. F**k them.

So PS3 has 2 more exclusives than 360 yet "it sucks" eh? I guess the 360 launch was "horrendous". The most hyped game at the time of 360 release wasnt even an exclusive-it was COD2! The PS3 lineup isnt spectacular but it still better than 360's and i will be picking up resistance and RR7.

Ok, please stop comparing exclusive numbers as if that will determine who wins. Because in the exclusivity factor, Nintendo will beat Sony and Microsoft because:
(A) Any game made specifically for Wii CANNOT be ported to 360, and in very rare instances just might be portable to PS3.
(B) Any multi-console title on the Wii will tend to have Wii specific controls, inherently making it an exclusive. (this factor also makes Zelda considered an exclusive even if it can also be played on the GC)

In the end, it's not the NUMBER of exclusives that count, but the QUALITY of exclusive content that would sway the first-time gamer purchase. (Non-gamers are more likely to be influenced by advertisements, not pure numbers, and gamers who already have purchases are rather more complicated to determine which they're more likelt to get.)

Wow, I'm so glad I don't have $700 to drop on this at launch. Maybe 6 months after launch it'll be cheaper with games I actually care about.

It would seem that the 360 had better launch titles but left everyone in the dark until Oblivion and GRAW came out.

I would guess that this is just the begining for Sony, which isn't bad, but if Sony wants the business, there will be a need for more games.

You will have 360 owners who are looking at a PS3 and say, why should I get one when all the games are on the games I want are on the 360 as well.

But once Sony gets the ball rolling, its going to be a tough call, hopefully, Nintendo and Microsoft can keep the games coming.

Because its all about the games, maybe next year will be more interesting, only time will tell.

Ok im gunna buy the ps3 on first price drop whcih will be around febuary/ march when conviently my most favorite and most anticipated game of the 2007 year will come out. Ahh yess Ubisoft done it again with Assasins Creed made me shit my pants a year before the game came out. Sure Assasins Creeds is coming out on 360 as well but it was initially developed on ps3 and they are downgrading it for the 360 which was the trailer from the tokyo show.

I'm glad that I didn't want a PS3 when they come out. Why? Because none of the games that are being released with it sound good. And the only ones that do sound good, I've already played. No rush to get this console at all. Sorry Sony, 360 wins this round!

sony has fooled a lot of people for a very long time, but i believe that after the initial batch of ps3's (which will go to those ps fanatics) are sold, they will have a very hard time selling more. Wii is cheaper and will sell well to a mostly younger crowd and parents wanting to get their children a new video game system. Xbox 360, also cheaper, will continue to sell well to those who look for a quality experience in gaming. Xbox Live is something that i doubt seriously will be done by sony with the same quality in their new service. Since i care nothing for final fantasy, fighting games, and other sony stuff, I will be hangin with microsoft this time around.

my mom is goin to japan soon so ill get the ps3 cheap.
look just because youre miffed at the price doesnt mean you can diss some pretty good titles. keepin a ps3 and playin some games WITHOUT the hdtv is not that bad either. be a bit more neutral and keep in mind the fun of PLAYING. and fuck the 360!

when ps3 comes out with Guitar hero 3, then I might consider getting one :D
