I've had Frog's Theme as one of my ringtones for the longest time. I think ima put Singing Mountain on it now, just because of Chrono Trigger Music Day! XD You can find Darangen's Magus Theme over at this link: http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=658415163

As #3 mentioned, Chrono Music day would be a great time to check out chrono symphonic. you can find it at http://chrono.ocremix.org/ . It's a great collection of arrangements of the chrono trigger soundtrack. Definitely worth downloading.

I was waiting for this one. Frog's Theme is probably the most underrated piece of video game music of all time.

Chrono Trigger is the best RPG ever made. It has the best story, best replay value, best music, best action, best fluid transitions, and the first ever successful incorporation of Time Travel in a game or movie.

I do understand what you say Ian ;)... have several Midi of Zelda & Chrono Trigger in my cell-phone... the epic of the castle music... play a sad song 4 me... the music only make me want to replay the game for the *th time... one of the best videogames I've ever played!!! 1st time I completed it was quite epic, since I live in Europe, the game was not comercialized here, had to buy an American import & play with an old Action Replay to make it run on my PAL SNES, wich didn't allow saves :(... had my valiant SNES turned on 4 more than a week to complete it :)... now people tell me GTA is "tha" game, sure makes me laugh!!! My humble opinion: Chrono Trigger, tastes like chicken ;P!!!

Guitarist #2 was cheating :( Otherwise, quite awesome. Especially the 'End of Time' theme music.

Yeah, that OCRemix site thing has quite a few good songs. I downloaded a few of their Secret of Mana tunes... Oh man, so many memories. Made me remember the Ice forest where you save Santa, the desert where you return the water supply... Damn, good times, good times.

Danny: No, not really. Lucca's Theme is far more underrated. I wouldn't say any of Chrono Trigger's music is underrated. That title could go to songs from far more obscure RPGs -- and, as we all know, Chrono Trigger is hardly obscure.

William: You've played every video game in existence, right? Otherwise, I fail to see how you can claim Chrono Trigger to be the best of everything you mentioned.

10. Chrono Trigger is the best RPG ever made. It has the best story, best replay value, best music, best action, best fluid transitions, and the first ever successful incorporation of Time Travel in a game or movie.

Mr. Anonymous, it was merely William's own opinion, stating that those elements made it the best RPG ever made. I'll back him up.

Best RPG? -- many agree with this, and while I don't personally, I can see how he does.

Best Story -- it covered all the characters back stories extremely well, no doubt helped by the game's time travel. It also contained multiple endings, and thus also contained a dynamic storyline

Best Replay Value -- due to the multiple endings, and the multiple points during the game that you actually allow you to complete it, in comparison to many other RPGs, Chrono Trigger leaves them for dead

Best Action -- for an SNES game, the game was extremely action packed, no doubt helped by the most beautiful graphics in an SNES RPG. Also, the fluid battle system, along with the extremely flashy attacks, definitely make thing action-packed.

Best Fluid Transitions -- if he's referring to the battle system, then yes, it is real time, you can see the enemies, and it has no loading, and therefore, yes it has utterly brilliant fluidity

I disagree on one thing -- the fluid time travel. It was not the first successful implementation of such a concept in both films and games -- this is not a film, and there are many films that precede this game that were successful (Back to the Future is a more recent film, but it does back even further than that). In terms of the first successful implementation of time travel in games. Yes, I do agree.

What a mouthful. Defending some guy who's probably 12. I think I did it because Anonymous was sounding like an elitist jerkoff...

I love Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross. I wish they would make another game in the series. Both those games actually jerked some tears out of my eyes...

Anti-Anonymous:

Not to be a dick, but, while it's great that you're defending William (as that was a moronic comment by Anonymous), making assumptions about his age and then belittling him for it probably wasn't appreciated. I'm all for debate around here, but if you're going to "back someone up" against an elitist jerkoff, don't act elitist yourself.

My thoughts on the matter:

Anonymous: Clearly he hasn't played every game ever made. That doesn't mean he can't state his opinion that he thinks it's the best RPG out there. Opinion-based claims can never really be logically justified, so don't worry about it.

William: I agree with Anti. The movie comment was more than a stretch.
