The penny arcade strip is mediocre at best - the fanboys just vote it without looking at the others... I call for no PA in the poll next time!

Are you serious? PA was pretty much the only good one. You're not a... a CAD fan are you?

Man, that penny arcade strip was Hilarious. I mean wow, had me laughing for hours.
If I could pick second place I'd say DU. That was pretty good. I though DA was pretty crap this time which is a shame, I've grown to like them alot. If it wasn't for the WWW I don't think I would of ever been introduced to them and that would be a shame. That dating Sim strip the other day was great, reminds me of the dating sim that Lord Ilpalazzo was playing in an episode of Excel Saga where the third option was always something like "Stick It In"
Is CAD supposed to be funny? I think the only decent strip I've ever seen him do was the one recently, about Sony investing in Nintendo Stock. Even then it was pretty much just a "Ha, that was good." and that was about it.

Yeah, PA was great this week. It brought back memories of the first time I played Nowhere on GRAW and pointed out the giant Axe deoderant ad in the middle of the map. The whole damn team came over to look at it...

Not a lot to choose from this week, penny arcade gets it from me, but that's coz it was a clever idea with some awesome art. If it were there, my vote would go to 'least i could do' They've had a good little thing going on Battlefield the past week, which i think we can all identify with.

I agree Penny Arcade is way overrated most of the time but "Advertising In The Future" was without a doubt the top choice this week.

Majesty!
This is definitely the best Dueling Analogs! Especially since I love Order of the Stick too.

Nice Mogwai reference in the third comic.

Dear Jack Thompson,
If that is really you, I appreciate your trying to bring this issue to our attention (that is to say the attention of gamers around the world), however I don't beleive this comments section is really the most logical place. This is for the discussion of this weeks game related webcomics. In other words, I don't see other people copy and pasting their personal mail into the comments section so please refrain from doing so yourself.

Dear Jack Thompson,
If parents did their jobs as parents, they would know what games their children are buying and playing. Stop trying to pin this all on Rockstar Games and Take Two, because it is the parent's fault for allowing their kids to play games like Grand Theft Auto and Bully.
Also, Bully is not a "school violence simulator". It is a videogame. End of story. It is meant to entertain, and it entertains.
In addition, there is no way that Grand Theft Auto could possibly teach anyone how to shoot a gun. They do not give specific instructions in the game on how to aim, reload, brace for recoil, and other such information. Shooting a gun is alot more complicated then pointing and pressing the trigger. It is as much a gun teaching simulator as Phoenix Wright is a defense attorney simulator.
Finally, stop trying to be a hero. All you are doing is making yourself look bad to the general public. Most of us think you are doing the wrong thing, and even conservatives don't approve of what you do. By continuing to do this, you are digging yourself a deeper grave.
Sincerely,
Gamer for 15 years, age 20.

Dear Jack Thompson,
If you read the article in the Boston Globe you just offered up, you'd see that the reviewers say that "it's basically harmless", among other things.
Admit it- you just posted that because it had your name in it. Good to know that you're an attention whore.
I am 15 years old, and I will buy Bully and play through it. I do realize that if I were to be influenced by this game, there's something deeply wrong with me, and maybe I shouldn't be playing the game. Maybe you never notice that most people who kill "because of GTA" have larger problems, sometimes mental issues, that should have been addressed earlier.
In summation- stop, you can't win. A 55-year-old lawyer, quickly losing his license in more states than I can count, owned by a 15-year-old? What's the world coming to?

I thought CAD was actually funny. Much funnier than Penny-Arcade.

Why does none of the above not work?

When CAD breaks from it's continuity like that, it can be pretty funny. While I don't particularly like the one in this wrap-up, I do like the most recent one he put up.
While I love PA, I feel most people just voted for it this week because it was just there. It wasn't really that funny this week.
My vote actually went toward that "F@ANBOY$" Dead Rising comic. I had quite a good chuckle at that one. (That "Jack of all Blades" comic wasn't bad either ^o^).

Heh, none of above was the best, but I voted Fanboys, for some reason...

PA did hit one out of the park, I'll give em that. I don't ever vote for them, but they hit it right out of the park.

Because if you don't like video game-based webcomics, you are to be cast out of gamer circles like a dirty vagabond, forever to roam the wilderness until you can tell "true" gamers why the latest Penny Arcade is funny.
... yeah, I don't like any of them either. This doesn't win me many friends.
