I've done it in the game. It can really happen, but only if you go looking for it. It's certainly not something you have to do.

I don't get it, what's the big deal? Were they just kissing? Americans are kind of weird.

The word homophobic is often misused. Think about what it means before you say it. Not only that, but it literally doesn't mean what people think it means from the language it is derived from.

If someone does not support homosexuality, it does not necessarily mean they are "homophobic." There could be multiple reasons someone does not like/support it, such as religion, or just feeling like it.

Better yet, why are straight people yelling at gay men for doing something straight couples do? Sodomy isn't an entirely homosexual occurance.

As for the game, who gives a crap if you can kiss boys or girls? From what I've read and heard it's supposed to be about this kid's life in a private school. Semi-realistic with a little bit of the usual R* spice ups. From what I can recall of school, this kind of stuff happened. To say it influences kids would be utter bull. What gave the kid the idea to go try it in the first place?

Concerned parents should not be trying to blame games or media because that is not the root of any problem. The entertainment industry takes what sells and runs with it. They cater to what catches our attention and what sells the most. If violence, sex, drugs, etc. are what's selling that's what they're going to show. That basically means the "problem" is coming from the market itself.

As far as the game goes, it's not that big of a deal. It's not like they forced it on you through storyline or something. Did people make this big of a fuss over SIMS or Fable? Both games did the same exact thing. It's not new to the gaming world. Hell, if it's not an attempt at gathering publicity (and thus selling more games) then it's a reach out to a different market. When it comes down to it, all that matters is how much money this makes R*. That's all.

@40 - Thanks. I'm tired of seeing all of this political correctness myself. I'm also tired of their hypocrisy - I noticed that those who claim to be open-minded tend to become just as closed-minded as those they ridicule the minute you disagree with them. Come on. Grow a backbone. Think on your own and stop following what's popular.

"'Why is so much of the USA so homophobic?' (Limey)

Leviticus 18:22

'Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.'

The Bible makes it clear that homosexuality is a sin. It's on the same level as eating shrimp."

Yeah, this is completely taken out of context. In the Bible its common practice to take the first time a word is mentioned such as "lie" within the book, and that would be its definition throughout.

The first time "lie" is used in that book is when a boy sleeps with a Prostitute in his Father's bed.

It's not saying saying Man can't sleep with man, it says man cant sleep with another man in his wife's bed.

Honestly...I just don't understand all of the controversy surrounding this part of the game. I mean, a lot of games have homosexuality in them and I think that's fine. The warning even says sexual themes, so its warning a buyer already. Now if someone says "but the four instances of pixels having a gay kiss is threatening to my sexuality"...I can't help but laugh. I really want America to grow up already or else, I swear, I'm moving to Canada...if you don't like it, don't play it. Stop ruining it for the rest of us...
