Good vid thanks for that! Bummer they didn't let you in the store but I guess that kinda figures. I don't feel so bad now about missing it last night. But I'm very stoked for the actual release anyway.

8-bit ninja turned 360 blogger turned 360 video blogger?

What's the plan tonight Pinky, "taking over the world?" =) You actually did quite well for being on the spot on camera.

I didn't make it out there. I would have had to drive back to the city I just left a few hours earlier and I was just too tired. Then I got sucked into SC:DA that I had purchased earlier that day...and I didn't get to sleep.

I have had Gears reserved since the 360 launch...I wonder if it still counts? LOL

Nice video Rich, you captured the awkwardness of public events involving gamers perfectly.

Now you just need a theme song and some flashy graphics/editing. Or not ^_^

I was the only one to show up at my location. I won't reveal my location, but I had a nice chat with the store manager about the regional conference and his experience with all three next-gen platforms. Wii is wildly popular, 360 is holding strong, but PS3 is going to have a very rough launch.

Great video Richard, I was going to point out the guy with the poster-sword, but somebody already did. I should have gone to mine, but I don't like to leave the house, it's pretty scary out there.

I had the opportunity to play Gears at X'06 Toronto and the game is amazing. I've read that some people think it looks like other shooters but it really doesn't play that way AT ALL. Awesome game, can't wait to play it in my living room. ^^

Richard nice work! I think you guys did more to cover this than anyone else. I wish I could of gone but there was no event close to my home. And yes, put me on the list for one of those free gamerpic and theme vouchers. =)

I wanted to go...but my stupid Gamestop said they didn't have enough money to keep employees late, and they didn't think many people would show up.

I'm very surprised 20 or so people showed up. It's always amazing how many people find out about these things and actually go. I suppose 20 isn't a lot, but when you consider all the other stores out there it's probably considered a pretty good success.

At my site it was me one other guy and two Gamestop employees. We didn't have a fancy HD TV, as they just used the Xbox 360 demo unit to play the video. I got the swag, which is nice and has reinforced the fact that my wife thinks I am a nerd.

At my Local Gamestop there was one other person besides me, and 3 employees. They used the Xbox 360 demo unit. But we got a lot of cool swag pictured here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/49416745@N00/275792918/

The video is a decent gameplay video. I can't wait til Emergence Day!
