Hey Ross.. Just wanna correct ya on one thing.. AOL owns 51% of Time Warner (we got the short end of the stick in the deal *TWC*)

Remember also that AOL-TimeWarner also owns RealNetworks(real arcade) and GameTap.. This just maybe to build on those current services..

"Will there be a conflict of interest should a third Tomb Raider movie materialize?"

I'd be surprised if there's any interest at all.

(For sake of full disclosure, Time Warner owns AOL owns Weblogs Inc. **owns Joystiq**.)Since when??. Ok, but who was the hero that busted open the commenting flood gates for this site recently? I remember it used to be near impossible to get a comment posted here at Joystiq about a year ago. Now whatever you say goes. What gives, the competition? (am hawking you kotaku)

Joystiq is owned by Weblogs Inc.
Weblogs Inc. is owned by AOL.
AOL is owned by Time Warner.

iLLwiLL is wondering when Joystiq was bought (or created) by Weblogs.

He's also wondering if that corresponds to the change in what gets posted on this site.

He's looking at kotaku to see if he knows.

That's how I read it at least ;)

Joystiq was created by WIN awhile back. It became AOL property when they bought WIN in I believe October 2005. It has never changed what we could say, good or bad, about anyone (including our parent company), nor have we really had much interaction with them. It's just something we have to say for disclosure. We have full editorial control.

As for our comment system, eh ... it's just going through some hard times right now. We're trying to get the kinks worked out so sorry if some comments go through and some don't.

I hope that answers the questions, *shrugs*

So, if they end up buying SCI, that would, like, totally make Lara Croft your sister (or at least a close cousin).

Would you hit on her when the family gets together for turkey day and the like?

Hey, SCI Entertainment is NOT a DEVELOPER, but a PUBLISHER. Just wanted to make things clear.

(number 7, re-read number 8 and this one)

@ number 8:

You pass with with an A- (90-92) my friend!

These last 2 were wrong though:
*He's also wondering if that corresponds to the change in what gets posted on this site.*
Answer: I was wondering on what, who, or why, decided to make posting comments on Joystiq user friendly, As Joystiq used to cherry pick select comments for posting. Maybe Joystiq wants to differentiate themselves from the other kids on the block...(Kotaku)

*He's looking at kotaku to see if he knows*.
Answer: I'm staring at Kotaku to send them a subliminal message about their comment posting regime.
