Earlier this month, Capcom launched a community site for their highly promising third-person frag-fest Lost Planet: Extreme Condition. Aside from the forum, there's a blog manned by "the voice of Capcom" Brian Dunn. He claims he's a real dude (Japanese translator), not just a marketing robot and judging by the Gears of War contraband in his cubicle, he's telling the truth. You can also down a Lost Planet skin for WMP, or at least you will be able to when the link starts working. LP:EC hits January 16.

Hmm, that's strange. Before Capcom's site changed I was able to download the WMP skin from the Lost Planet website. No problem, but that was months ago.

Anyone else just not that impressed with Lost Planet? Looked great from the trailers, but when I played the demo, it just didn't do all that much for me. Maybe I just expected too much from it... Then again, it is just the demo, so...

I thought is was dropping on Dec. 19th, at least that was the last date I had heard.
No biggie, I'll be busy playing GoW and R6: Vegas.
I think the game looks pretty good, if they can build in good Multi-Player then mark me down for a copy.

mietha CAG - I really enjoyed the demo, especially tooling around in the mech suits. I can see how it's not everyone's cup of tea though.

Thanks for the mention! Yeah, I'm a real dude, gamer at heart, and a bigtime 360 fanboy. My gamertag is badboodah77. I just put up a 1Up page as well (link is on my blog). GoW multiplayer is awesome, by the way! Very tactical, requires a lot of teamwork. But very cool.

January 16th is my Birthday - so I take this as a sign to buy Lost Planet:EC - sadly it is also the day I am 'supposed' to return to Classes. Decision, decision.
