Touring Nintendo's Fusion Tour
Nintendo Fanboy extraordinaire Alisha Karabinus staved off adversity -- they don't care much for blue-hairs down south -- to bring us illuminating coverage of Nintendo's Fusion Tour as it, er, rather, as Hawthorne Heights rocked Jonesboro, Arkansas. While flocks of emo-punks charged the stage, Karabinus made a beeline for the Nintendo area. Phew, safe at last. Peep the intel she gathered:

Hawthorne Heights doesn't rock anything, anywhere.

The irony? Alisha Karabinus would've made a great punk/emo name. c.c
On a more related topic, I can't remember, is Sony doing something similar to this to help boost word-of-mouth? Also, we (or at least, I) want previews of Elite Beat Agents. c.c

jerk, you would know? I went, and there was a moshpit and everything going on when Hawthorne was playing. I got a free CD, and I was deaf for like 2 days. You wouldn't know how much they rocked if you didn't go =/

I went in Houston, just to play Zelda and Metroid, etc. What was complete crap, is that "because of the small space" they only had FOUR WII'S available for play.
Zelda? No. Metroid Prime? No. Super Mario Galaxy? No. No Trauma Center. They had Wii Shooting, Wii Tennis , Wario Ware and ExciteTruck. After 90 minutes, I had played Wii Shooting and ExciteTruck and asked "Is this it?"
Four Wii's are lame, especially when Nintendo knows full well, half of the attendees are going in anticipation of a sneak peak at the Wii and some of the offerings. I feel like I totally got robbed for $60 (two tickets) to be completely disappointed. Very little swag. No Nintendo shirts. The same DS demos that are currently at Target.
That whole experience was the biggest dent in the Nintendo hype machine for me. Everything they had done up till then made me feel better about the brand, but this was pretty Sony of them.
That's right, it's slang now. And that's precisely how weak it was to have four Wii's there.
