As a side note why do ye always pick the latest of each webcomic. A lot of them had much funnier ones earlier in the week.

You know what would be nice? If people didn't vote for a comic JUST because it's on a certain site. I'm looking at you fanboys of PA, CAD, and VGCats.

OTOH, how much chance did I really have of that on a site where most of the readers will rabidly defend obviously inane decisions from a gaming company (Sony fanboys, looking at you).

oh and there is a reason why most poeple like VG and CAD , there consistantly good. I did read them all and most of them were funny, but after seeing the DOAE2 video how can CAD not take the win..

Don't get me wrong, I have CAD and VGCats set in my Mornign Coffee extension (I typically let people link me to the best of PA, as I don't find them funny on a day-to-day); I just get frustrated that people seem to vote for them simply because they have some sort of weird loyalty to them.

VG Cats and CAD are not significantly funnier then the other strips, but they are usually drawn with better tools, with more leveles and more detailed expressions.

A good joke can be ruined if the expressions of the characters isn't accurate.

CAD like usual was trash, VG cats... I haven't seen a good one in awhile. I suppose that PS3, Wii one was pretty good.

PA was funny, after the solid comics they've had recently. (It's okay, I'm a dentist) but not number one this week. Actually, all in all I think they were all a bit crap this week.

I'd call it a tie between DA and Fanboys.

CAD had some real gems earlier this week (both the DOAX and Gears of War comics cracked me up), but the linked one is pretty lackluster. Game Boyz and Fanboys were both pretty funny.

I normally hate CAD, but I felt obligated to vote for it because a burst out laughing at this one.

A lot of the others were quality.

By the way, I recommend everyone go see The Prestige. I dunno if everyone will like it as much as I did, but I thought it was very well done. No, I don't work for any movie company, I just liked it a lot, and mommy taught me to share. :)

elmer92413 , CAD I thought was quite funny. You mentioned that it meshed a game world with a real world setting. Just thought I'd mention that there's a game (world) called Postal. Which would make sense, mixing the very cheery Viva Pinata with such a gruesome game.

But hey, I laughed.

VGcats. Partly to piss off the commentors, partly because CSI+anything=hilarity. Heck, CSI on it's own is hilarious.

If I was to pick a winner for best web-comic of the week, it would go to Dueling Analogs, since they have the best punchline for a comic. Unfortunately (or fortunately actually, since I would have to chose), you didn't add http://www.cad-comic.com/comic.php?d=20061025 , which was still a pretty awesome comic by CAD last week.

Oh my god. Gameboyz, with the children's books reference. If you give a moose a muffin...oh damn, good times. Wow. Short, simple, and hilarious. How is VG cats doing so well... oh yeah, I forgot, bodily fluids are far funnier than clever allusions and good pacing. Silly me.

Actually the Game Boyz strip was referencing If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, an amazing children's book by Laura Numeroff. It was the first in her "If You Give a" series, followed by If You Give a Moose a Muffin. I'm old enough that the one I own was probably in the first printing, I doubt many of you can say that. Also I stopped at If You Give a Moose a Muffin, but I know it goes on after that.
