It's been four months since the last update for
ScummVM, the multiplatform point-and-click emulator. Just released v0.9.1 adds official support for DS and GP2X, with a GP32 port promised soon, but bug-fixes for existing versions (e.g., Dreamcast, PS2, PSP) are not be overlooked. Highlights include:
- Fixes for Humongous Entertainment games, including better support for international versions
- Improved detection for the FM-TOWNS version of Indy3
- Fixes for The Feeble Files (more non-English versions are supported)
- Parts of the Kyrandia engine have been rewritten (requires less CPU power)
- PSP, PS2, and WinCE ports have been "greatly improved"
- PalmOS port is up-to-date; features separate build for Tapwave Zodiac
- WinCE port supports 2002 devices again
Is this new version gonna keep you from updating your PSP's firmware for the holiday flood of titles? Are you running ScummVM on a different portable?

I have ScummVM running on my ds. It's great for playing old monkey island and other stuff on the go. The Touch screen makes it very easy to play those old point and click adventure games.

I just got ScummVM for my PSP today, and it's perfect! I haven't played these games in years, the last time when I bought one of the Lucas Arts Collection sets. Time to play some more Sam & Max and Day of the Tentacle!

Does anybody know where to (legally!) get the games to play on this thing? I still own Kyrandia, though I probably lost the disks. I'd love to get hold of, say, Day of the Tentacle or the old Monkey Island games. Looks like Home of the Underdogs (the-underdogs.info?) has at least Loom, but not a fair number of the other games I'd like to play.

The support for Supercard Lite still lacking. >:(

Two great things about this post. The screenshot is from a Mac and the only game loaded (Sam & Max) is the only game I've played since discovering ScummVM.
Awesome

ScummVM on a Treo is the best thing since all the other PalmOS emulators. Antipilor is right--the touch screen is perfect for these games.
Now if we could only get a dosbox port...

#4: I couldn't see why it wouldn't work on Supercard Lite. Most of the other apps I have aren't specifically programmed for it, just the Supercard in general.
