Don't blame Volition on the late patch. Microsoft sits on and tests patches for months before putting them up on Live. Blame Microsoft. Developers (including volition) release patches quite quickly, to Microsoft.

I played the demo with a friend, and we were practically on the floor in tears of laughter at some of the dialogue; "Let's get down to Frecklebitches, I'm jonesing for a funbag". The ragdoll physics and driving was fun for about 5 minutes, but beyond that we just reran the cut scenes and laughed, all over again.

I don't think this needs a patch, it needs a complete overhaul.

Hey, don't go callin Bill Pullman a dick, the guy was in Spaceballs. Were you in Spaceballs, Ethan? I didn't think so.

Oh, and I wonder if they fixed the shitty lag problems in multiplayer with this patch. I was just about to sell this game, maybe I won't have to anymore.

Would you be willing to blame Volition for calling an unfinnished(read beta) game gold? Ms my hold up a patch release but they dont force a company to release it buggy.

The problem with live is that games don't have to be 100% bug free cos they know they can get away with patching a game up after unlike the previous consoles! Sort it out M$. Also, framerate drops in general are not aceptable - I hope theres none in GOW

What could Microsoft possibly benefit from the "sitting" on a title patch?

You know the whole "PC games vs. console games" argument? Well console games just lost the "CONSOLE GAMES DONT NEED TO BE PATCHED" bullet point.

I too was about to sell this game and still might. It was supposed to hold my friends appetite for online gaming over till SP:DA and Gears. I've been less then impressed with SP's online system, but Gears is a week away. Hmmmm I'll check out the patch before i head over to Gamestop

Yeah this was my biggest concern when I heard next gen consoles were going to have Hard drives and net ability off the bat. I just knew we'd see games come out that would just be patched as required. Very sad state of affairs.

I returned it cuz it was to laggy. Stop releasing unfinished games. I wish reviewers were harder on titles that have messed up online play at laugh. COD2 for example.

No, that would be THQ's decision.

pathc is great. lag noticibly less and the v-sync screen tearing can be turn on so theres no screen tearing. had tons of stuff blowing up on screen and no drops in framrate either. if there was it was not noticible. biggest complaint most had was the v-sync issues. also you can select to turn it on or off for game play or cutscenes individualy. very nice option

Patch is good, still takes a while to get into games (but maybe that was the time of day...) and i've managed to play some games successfully online which was impossible before.

Yay for finally having the product i paid for ;)

I've had the "sitting floating in midair" bug many times in the past, so it's nothing directly to do with the patch (although this implies that they haven't fixed the problem either). Usually it's just a momentary thing, but it did make it impossible to finish a mission once.

Whatever. Game is awesome.

Knock on wood, but am I the only one whose 360 doesn't crash very often? I've heard many complaints about Saints Row, but mine crashed all of once in the amount of time it took for me to beat the game, and I even have one of the early "buggy" 360's.

This game's online multiplayer is absolutely unreal. you haven't experienced online gaming until you've played Blinged Out Ride. No, I'm not joking. This. Game. Is. AWESOME! Best online experience since halo 2... I shyt you not.

Yeah, its funny how that bullet point advantage seems to have vanished with a Microsoft console.

I hardly buy games for my 360 anyways, but seeing so many released 95% complete and in need of serious patching puts me off even more. If Sony start allowing this malarkey with the PS3 then Im with Nintendo this round.

I buy a console to avoid all this crap.

Hmm, I think I might actually be one of the only guys who'se never actually had any problems with Saints Row. Sure, there's the tearing but that's not much a big downer. The only thing I really miss is in comparison to the demo.

In the demo, you would shatter a car's window with a single hit on the side. When I bought the full game, I noticed you could no longer do that. I was hoping they would be putting that back in the game but I guess not.

The patch did not help much with online play. With 3 or 4 friends we got into games faster, but we still saw lag. With a party of 5 or 6, it was taking over 5 minutes in the matchmaking screen which is unacceptable. It's a shame because the live game is different and fun. But with the lag and taking forever to join games remaining even after the patch, I will be selling/trading this one now.

Ah the Row. I got rid of this game because the crashs drove me nuts. This has been the only game to lock up my 360. Online play was laughable at first, then annoying, then non-existant. So many glitches that it ruined the game for me. Got $35 for it from EB though. Suckas.

I never had any problems with the game beyond hitman missions and the people being a bitch to find. Not as much a glitch as it is my lack of patience though. :P
