I'm down for some Xbox Live partying on launch day: maybe a round-robin tournament or something set up through the site.

I believe the hardest difficulty level is Insane when I saw it in Hollywood.

To celebrate, have several dropin-dropout games going through the entire campaign. Make it a community playthrough.

In fact, do that for every game with DI-DO when it comes out.

im planning a lan with a bunch of my mates once gow comes out. after watching the high def multiplayer vids im drooling with excitement and im not even much of a gamer

I'm definitely down for an X360F matchup, though I doubt I'll have the game on the 7th. The EB where I preordered never gets new titles in until the following day.

The IGN post has a [gasp] negative comment in there, too. Slayer matches are far and away my favorite gametypes, but switching it up once in a while is always nice. So I'm only a little disappointed that there's no CTF, Assault, Territories, etc...

But that's probably just the Halo talking. I still think that GOW's multiplayer has a chance to be as engaging as that console MP standard.
