How can soem people say that playing retro games is full-blown piracy?

Why should anyone have to pay 5-10$ for a non-updated game that hasn't been sold for 10 years for a system that is no longer produced?

Retro gaming is a grey area with regards copyright, but there is no first party market for it and only a really petty company is gonna have a problem with people having a fleeting visit to their past.

Just in case you haven't heard, Nintendo and Sony are going to sell their retro games with their online service. Thus technically they're still commercially viable.

And even so, I repeat: It's illegal if the law says it's illegal, no matter what your percieved social values are. If you really want to complain, tell the lawmakers, instead of taking the law into your own hands.

I buy my games used all the time. I also noticed that sears sometimes has racks of really cheap new games.. New meaning never opened, not new releases. They had Pikmin 2 for $8.99 one day... a week after I paid $17 for it. I bought my gamecube used, I bought the majority of the games used (except Baten Kaitos, Baiten Kaitos Origins, Metroid Prime 2, SSX On Tour,and DDR Mario Mix) I have about 50 gamecube games and I spent less than $25 on about 40 of them, 5 I bought new, and 5 I paid about $30 for... A lot of them I paid $10 for as well....
