Nintendo World tour stocked with 88 titles
Nintendo World 2006 kicks off to tomorrow in Nagoya, Japan; making stops in Osaka and Tokyo later this month. The exhibition brings with it 88 titles, split evenly between Wii and DS.Visitors can expect the usual unusual assortment of "games" from Nintendo's vault, including an encyclopedia and healthy eats recipe collection. The rest of the lineup is mostly familiar, but there will be some significant debuts; the first level of (and possibly a new character from) Super Smash Bros Brawl among them. There are also plans to show off the Mii channel.
Some new DS oddities have been unearthed as well, notably Picross DS ("paint by numbers"), 100 Poems by 100 Poets: DS Shigureden (presumably based on the art exhibit in Kyoto), DS Bimoji Training (Japanese calligraphy), and Namco Bandai's Mojipittan DS, a version of the popular fast-paced word puzzler.

What I really want is a cart to train how to write kanji. Are you listening Nintendo? Kanji. Training. On a DS cart. Japanese parents will buy it for their young kids. Geeks like me will import it. Must! Train! Kanji!!

Oh I so hope Picross DS is released in the US. I loved Mario's Picross on Game Boy, and haven't had any sequels come here since.

Woooo, First comment! Sweet.
The convention is supossed to start in less than an hour (Having in mind that Japan is Gmt+9). I hope that you are going to cover it like last time in that Japan Wii Conference. I hope the trailer/videos of SSBB get released in today's conference XD. Thanks and keep up the good work! Good luck =)

I'm still pissed I missed the Nintendo World event at the NYC store. Oh well, November 19th will be here before I know it. I've been replaying all the old Zelda games to pass the time.

There already are several kanji training games for the DS in Japan.
Search www.play-asia.com for "kanji"
Here is one:

I want a DS specifically FOR that kanji dictionary. Writing recognition makes me drool. But of course, there's the "Mario Kart," etc., factor as well.
