The latest in Sony's foray into PS3 commercials is a good one. And it continues to channel the spirit of Stanley Kubrick via an homage to 2001: A Space Odessey. Primitive mammals are replaced by primitive games, but the singular balck monolith remains the same. Sony has even borrowed the monolih's "buzzing" SFX from the film. Color us impressed with this fun, but very deep ad. We wonder if the connections and parrallels with the film and novel will be lost on the PS3's target audience?
