Game|Life and IGN report that Contra's co-op mode is broken (see evidence above). The screenshots were taken at the same moment during an online co-op match, showing how the two players' games were completely out of sync (on the left, Player Two is already dead).
Both reports indicate that the co-op mode glitches during the Waterfall stage. Can anyone corroborate?

I never was a big contra fan anyway until I found the Code.
I'm ready for small arms, roboblitz, and of Castle Crashers.

I wish you knew how pathetic you come across. Do you not realize how many people have already seen and played this game and know you're talking BS? You're preaching to the choir. Don't worry, the 360 and Gears won't put your PS3 and/or Wii out of business. There is plenty of room for all 3 consoles... right on my shelf.

6. "Probably because Gears is overrated. It's getting top 5 game of all time scores and not one person I know has said it's the best game they ever played by a longshot. Gears = Good but not nearly as good as the reviews claim it is. The hype is not real."
You sound just like a Sony Fanboy, everione knows that You are hurt, You are mad, You are angry, and most of all Your jelousy is transparent like a cristal, we all know you been crying your self to sleep ever since Gears was reviewd and it delivered, go back and cry your self to sleep in to another lonely night waiting for your beloved PS3.

"I'm not talking about my tastes, I'm just saying, when you go to metacritic and you see a 96 for Gears of War, then you read the critics saying, 'Okay, storyline - there's none, gameplay is not innovative...' Then I say, why did they give this 96? They were blown away by the high quality of the graphics... Myself, I prefer something more creative," Tascan concluded.

I did experience this on the waterfall stage in online co-op. It was his first few times playing and I was talking him through some of the shortcuts and tricks, and it became apparent he and I were looking at two different screens, about 5-10 seconds apart. He had died on my screen, but was still playing in actuality. I thought it was because I jumped too far ahead and killed him at the bottom of the screen, he was lagging and kept playing until his lag caught up and was told "your dead cause player 1 jumped too quickly" and he died mysteriously.
It was really strange. I'm glad it wasn't just me. I still really enjoy the game though. Nostalgia is a wonderful thing.
