Yeah, that kind of seems more important since Madden and Red Steel multiplayer make use of that (the games I know of). Tack on another $20.

Is there any official word on exactly what the SD card will be used for? All I've seen from Nintendo is that you can use it to view pics on the Wii. Will it be used for saved games? Downloads? Virtual Console stuff? The Wii only has 512MB built-in, which seems a bit limited.

yes, it'll be used like a memory card. It will save games, VC stuff, and anything else.

At 8:05pm EST I saw the different sold out screen. Did they even go on sale? Anyone get an order? If so how much was shipping. I know GS did not state the posting time but I didn't see that think for a flash. I did not even see the website slow down from traffic hits.

Sales started sometime around 7:30PM EST. Shipping was stated as a reasonable $20, but they sure made it up with the rest of the package. It was still available 10 minutes later. What I wonder is, did they terminate the preorder, or just restrict it to a very few packages? This package was not a deal by any stretch of the imagination. I doubt there's any gamer out there that is actually interested in the entire bundle of games, and the repair warrantee, given Nintendo's great track record of reliable hardware, is just a rip-off.

It almost feels to me like Gamestop felt like they had to find some way to make the price of the Wii comparable to that of the 360 and PS3, so they stuffed a bunch of stuff into a bundle to raise the price to the point where it was close to the PS3s. Considering that price was supposedly one of the Wii's selling points, why Gamestop would want to do this is beyond me.

Why? Simple. GameStop figures that there's a lot more people wanting to buy the Wii than will be available. Some of them have 300$-350$ to spend on the package, an additional Wiimote and/or Zelda. Some of them have lots of money (how does 700$ sound?). They've got plenty of demand, so why sell consoles to people who will spend 300$ and then run out for the people having 700$? They're making this bundle to act as a filter. Keeps only the rich consumers willing to buy tons of stuff. It sickens me to the core.
