I don't think they'll ever stop doing mail-in rebates. The entire purpose of a mail-in rebate is to be enough of a pain in the ass that people won't bother sending them in.

Garbage. Fry's Electronics has a 1 GB for $30 with a $10 mail in making it $20 and if you need more get a 4 GB for $89 after $30 mail in, or just go to circuit city and pay too much. Your choice.
