Moore: Too Human, Crackdown, Forza 2, Shadowrun by end of June
Speaking with MTV's Stephen Totilo, Peter Moore promised that Crackdown, Forza Motorsport 2, Shadowrun, and Too Human would all see release by the end of June 2007. While Shadowrun's debut has always hinged on the availability of Windows Vista (FASA's game is cross-platform), the other three titles were once expected to round out Xbox 360's exclusive holiday lineup this year. As it goes, Gears of War and Viva Piñata will have to convince shoppers to pass on PlayStation 3 and Wii -- or shortages will.Still, with PS3 likely in short supply early next year, Microsoft has an opportunity to attract potential consumers with well-timed releases throughout the tail end of winter, leading into summer. But don't be surprised if a few of these exclusives continue to slip, landing alongside Master Chief in next year's holiday release batch.

uhm, yeah...whatever happened to Too Human???
Nate @ Nov 10th 2006 2:37PM
Gears Of War is more than enough goodness for the holiday season....Viva Pinata looks like fun....I might check it out. But there's also Sonic The Hedgehog and Rainbow Six: Vegas (even though they're coming out on other systems). I'm kinda glad Too Human and Crackdown are getting pushed back....because I wouldn't be able to give them enough time next to Gears.....and Too Human's a game I'm really looking forward to (despite the negative impressions).
Next year is gonna be great with those 4 games plus Mass Effect....can't wait.

Is it me or does anyone else thing CoD3 should of been released later. Releasing it the same time of GoW really seems to have taken away from it.
Danno @ Nov 10th 2006 2:40PM
They pushed it back. The build state at E3 was pretty weak.
I think it's up in the air as to whether it's going to be a good game or not. I'm placing my expectation levels at mild right now.
Crackdown is the one I'm excited about. GTA with superhero powers AND guns? Hot diggity. I passed on Saints Row because of it.
Frosty22 @ Nov 10th 2006 2:42PM
Maybe... but CoD 3 has crazy-fun multiplayer! (when you can actually get into a game, that is)

Way Off Topic ----
Anyone notice the Alienware flash ads on this site? Not teh banners but the square ones......They have the Slogan "Come out and Play" While the led lights on the PC flash through a rainbow of colors....... Is this a subliminal ad to attract homosexual gamers?????

Too Human won't make enod of June, unless it is a suckiest "need patch with microtransactions" release. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets delayed for a long time!
The Intangible Fact @ Nov 10th 2006 2:45PM
Has anyone played Tony Hawk Project 8 for xbox or 360 yet? Is it worth the money?
Streets @ Nov 10th 2006 2:52PM
Unfortunate, but at least they saved me some money!
Dre @ Nov 10th 2006 2:54PM
Wasn't going to get these anyway. COD 3, Gears of War, F.E.A.R, Sonic, Rainbow 6 Vegas is all that a 360 can handle at this point. Let alone having NBA 2k7, Madden, Oblivion, PREY and a line up that is too numerous to talk about. Christmas has already begun.
Wii is next. Too bad PS3.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

"Too Human won't make enod of June, unless it is a suckiest "need patch with microtransactions" release. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets delayed for a long time!"
Not doubting you, but why would you say that? Have you played it? I'm guessing it will get delayed past June as well, but for different reasons than "it sucks"....it should be one of the blockbusters for Xbox 360 next holiday season.
Unimental @ Nov 10th 2006 2:58PM
I'm currently overwhelmed with gaming thanks to the recent 360 crop. And DS Final Fantasy is just a few days away (thank goodness for public transportation free time... they drive, I play).
Need. More. Time.
crono141 @ Nov 10th 2006 3:22PM
I wanted to try and Get through FF12 before Wii, but that isn't going to happen. I got through FFVII in a week, but that was 8 hrs a day for 5 days strait, (I was in middle school then, and over the summer).
Crap, cuz FF12 is good, I might have to abstain from zelda till it gets done.
Brandon @ Nov 10th 2006 3:23PM
Nice picture, Moore looks like Hitler. Yelling and making exaggerated hand gestures. Der Fuehrer spielt Xbox 360. Heil 360!
Seriously though, the 360 is finally starting to get some good games. Mine is collecting dust and I have money saved up for the Wii, but it looks like Gears of War is going to steal some of my money too. Plus I'm on the edge about Tony Hawk Project 8 because the demo got me back into Hawk games for the first time since 3. And when does Mass Effect come out? I'm going to be so broke!

stumpie @ Nov 10th 2006 3:27PM
Well it looks like the release of Gears of War has bought all of these other games some time. Which is great...I'd much rather the games be well polished by next summer then to have them release by Christmas. I'm quite happy with Tony Hawk, GOW, Rainbow Six, Splinter Cell, Viva Pinata and COD3 to get me by the next few months.
Dre @ Nov 10th 2006 3:34PM
CHRISTMAS IS ALREADY HERE and it looks like it will be a 360/Wii Christmas all around this year.
LunarDuality @ Nov 10th 2006 3:41PM
I'm already backlogged with games for my 360 so the supposed lack of retail titles coming out for it over the next month doesn't really bother me.
Give me Small Arms, Assault Heroes, and all those other cool indie XBLA games anyday (supplemented with Gears, Viva Pinata, and all the gamefly games I'll be renting)!
@Unimental - I couldn't agree more, the only reason taking the subway is more fun than driving -- My DS + Advance Wars.

I say that cause the game has been in development since PSone ERA! They had a near built and then changed things, then 64(I think), then even a NICE video for dolphin (GameCube) and now 360...that is why I say that!
And I say fro reasons it sucks...no I haven't played it but every review from E3 said it was horrible and lack luster all around. But yes I know they could pull it out and BAM it could be the next bread and butter. Good enough analogy or whatever word I am looking for?
GamerT @ Nov 10th 2006 8:49PM
Dude...that picture is awesome. Yeah he does look like Hitler.
He also looks pretty upset with the Xbox 360 and looks like he is going to throw it. :)
Good stuff!
otakucode @ Nov 10th 2006 9:00PM
Please don't mention Shadowrun... it still hurts to consider that they took a dump right in the face of a fantastic brand.

Debunked, see this link:

For a short time, some sites were reporting incorrectly on an interview Peter Moore did with MTV. The interview was accurate, but some reports were wrongly reporting that we were launching Forza 2 and other titles in the month of June. What he said was:
Moore promised that Xbox 360 titles "Crackdown," "Forza Motorsport 2," "Shadowrun," and "Too Human" will all be available by the end of June. And he had a tease about the big 360 game in 2007's back half: "I actually saw 'Halo 3' last week," he said. "It's everything people would expect to see in a next-generation version of 'Halo.' "
Since our fiscal year ends in June, we tend to think of timelines in six-month chunks. So we're planning on Forza 2, Crackdown, Too Human, and Shadowrun sometime in the first six months of 2007. Clear enough?
Oh, the lawyers in my hallway (we keep them in a special section of the building, behind glass marked with biohazard signs) reminded me to say that we haven't announced official ship dates for these titles, and plans sometimes change. Your mileage may vary.
