If you haven't already set up camp outside your local Best Buy in an attempt to snag your PS3 upon launch, it may be too late. This is, of course, a rumor, so we'll treat it as such. Let's consider it a "what if" situation, really. Apparently an employee at a Best Buy let slip that the stores will be receiving about half of what they originally expected in launch shipments. Now, according to the store manager in Athens, there was no such word from upper management in the realm of quantity -- thus the "rumor". Now, if this were true, according to Neowin, the 1.2 million due by the end of the year to North America would be cut to 600,000. That's very rough, as in not cool. What think you, gentlemen? Be this honesty or farce? We're banking on farce. You know those employee's will do anything possible to get dibs on these blasted machines.
