Now is not the time to be broke.
Fernando @ Nov 13th 2006 11:34AM
Zelda!!!!!!!!!!
Z @ Nov 13th 2006 11:34AM
GBA has more games coming out than PS3???
Can't wait for the Wii launch this week. Should be something.
flymolo @ Nov 13th 2006 11:36AM
broke like me...
Psyclerk @ Nov 13th 2006 11:37AM
I was already headed to the store to pick up Gears of War (intentionally waited until this week so I didn't have to make a second trip) and the new WWE game, but DOA XVB2 is out too? Bah, money is overrated.
Zelos @ Nov 13th 2006 11:37AM
Damn European release dates. Bring on Dec 8th!
Neoxkc @ Nov 13th 2006 11:38AM
Man, I have a 360, but that list for 360 is mighty weak, but we did get Gears of War, Call of Duty 3, and Tony Hawks P8 last week, so I guess it's ok.
killploki @ Nov 13th 2006 11:38AM
Trophy Bass 2007 for xbox! yes! the system is still going strong.
Mattva01 @ Nov 13th 2006 11:38AM
I agree with #2 :p
Pixelantes Anonymous @ Nov 13th 2006 11:39AM
The PS3 launch game lineup is pathetic.
nootau @ Nov 13th 2006 11:39AM
My god. I wonder what is the record for games released in a month.....
I would venture to say that November 2006 is the busiest month in gaming history, and that this week is the busiest week of gaming history.
Any historians out there?
Joe @ Nov 13th 2006 11:44AM
Goddamnit, you forgot Sneak King!
Dae Kim @ Nov 13th 2006 11:44AM
Nintendo wins the console war release. Why would anyone want to buy a PS3 now? There are NO good games yet. The games PS3 has are available on the Xbox360. And their exclusive titles are previewed as being piles of turd. Where is MGS or Gran Turismo? Sony loses this round. I cant wait to play Zelda and Trauma Center.
mattva01 @ Nov 13th 2006 11:46AM
Well we've never had so many consoles.
Flit @ Nov 13th 2006 11:46AM
Holy cow, I had no idea the Wii had so many titles the week of the launch! Most of them are licensed games, but i think it matches the number of gamecube titles that are out there.
Rich @ Nov 13th 2006 11:48AM
We were at Toys 'R Us yesterday, my daughter comes running up to me with a box in her hand. "LOOK! I got one! I got a Wii! there were only two left! Can we get it?"
Sadly (for her) it was only the display box, but I had a good laugh...
Feanor @ Nov 13th 2006 11:50AM
"Why would anyone want to buy a PS3 now? There are NO good games yet. The games PS3 has are available on the Xbox360. And their exclusive titles are previewed as being piles of turd."
All the PS3s available will sell out and then many will resell with large markups so why don't ypou ask that question of the pople who buy them? They obviously have their reasons.
Resistance isn't on the 360, is it? No, so you're factually incorrect as well as being a pathetic fanboy. Link to the preview saying Resistance is a turd... oh there aren't any. Go give your Wiimote a blowjob.
Mal F4cti0n @ Nov 13th 2006 11:51AM
I thought EA wasn't going to release NBA 07 on the PS3 cuz it was all broke and sh*t?
Kevout @ Nov 13th 2006 11:52AM
This is ridiculous
32_Footsteps @ Nov 13th 2006 11:53AM
You know, if Barbie: 12 Dancing Princesses came out on the Gamecube, we'd see a whole bunch of people talk about how the 'Cube was such a kiddie system. But it's strangely silent since it's a PS2 exclusive.
Still, Final Fantasy III DS... aw yeah, can I get me a high five for that?
Mal F4cti0n @ Nov 13th 2006 11:56AM
"NBA Live '07 - EA has cancelled the PS3 version, allegedly to focus on NBA Street: Homecourt (due early next year). Others believe EA yanked the project due to the ill-reception of already-released versions. "
Yes, you blogged the above on "4 More Titles Fall from PS3 launch" or some such.
So is it coming out or isn't it? Please let us know the troof (truth)!
diskoboy @ Nov 13th 2006 11:57AM
Shouldn't the Wii be considered next week since it comes out this coming Sunday?

for someone who has a blog to highlight the positive aspects of gamers... that sure is a negative comment.
i realize it's just your opinion and you're entitled to it but what's the point of posting it here other than to stir up negativity between gamers?
there's a lot of people out there who are pretty excited about the PS3, why do you need to come down on their console choice by insulting the launch titles?
i had to wait over six months for a 360 game that i was actually looking forward to playing... and if (god forbid) you're not a fan of zelda the Wii launch may not be that enticing either.
should we call both of those launch lineups pathetic as well? or perhaps we could actually be positive about what we're looking forward to and not denigrate our fellow gamers.
just a suggestion.
Optimus Prime @ Nov 13th 2006 11:59AM
There are good games for everyone, you fanbois need to stfu.
Daniel @ Nov 13th 2006 11:59AM
My eyes just went crossed eyed. Just give me Zelda and I have a game that'll take up most of my time for weeks on end. But I already pre ordered Excite Truck, Rayman, Red Steel ... plus I'm still playing tons of Gears of War, plus some new DS puzzle games... man oh man....
Javi @ Nov 13th 2006 12:00PM
Very excited about the Wii and PS3, 360 will keep for GOW and Halo 3. Exclusivity = Pwned
Zertoss @ Nov 13th 2006 12:01PM
*high five's 32_Footsteps*
I'm also getting Yoshi's Island 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog. I'd like to get Blitz, but not if it has the same load times it had on PS2.
Between all this, college and work, I don't think I'm going to have much time for anything else. Oh well, sleep is as overrated as money.
Dre @ Nov 13th 2006 12:01PM
Not a fanboy, but if you are going to pay $600 for a console and the only real exclusive game is Resistance, I would have to say that it is pretty weak. I thought Sony was suppose to be the video game industry leader. By the way NBA 07 is not live 07.
I will get a PS3 and if I have to wait a few months until real games like God of War, Devil May Cry and GT comes out, then so be it.
Evan @ Nov 13th 2006 12:02PM
They sold fewer PS3 games in Japan than PS3s. Some Japanese would prefer to play with the PS3's GUI than play any of those games!
Firegirl @ Nov 13th 2006 12:03PM
I think it would be totally weird to play Double Agent with a Wii controller, but I could be totally wrong. It might come in handy for the new Tony Hawk game though. Would so love to try it out!
Flit @ Nov 13th 2006 12:04PM

No. GOD rested on the 7th day of the week, not the first. DUH! Heathens are the ones who list sunday on calendars as the first day of the week! It's secular-progressives (or sp's as i call em) that want wallyworld to call christmas the HOLIDAYS. The end is coming! All hail Xenu!
Jmoney @ Nov 13th 2006 12:07PM
NBA 07 is made by Sony....EA makes NBA Live.
Optimus Prime @ Nov 13th 2006 12:07PM
"You know, if Barbie: 12 Dancing Princesses came out on the Gamecube, we'd see a whole bunch of people talk about how the 'Cube was such a kiddie system. But it's strangely silent since it's a PS2 exclusive."
Thats because PS2 also has GTA3 and HotCoffee (among others)... lets see that with a wiimote. And, its a PS2 exclusive because its cheap to develop for and its got over 5x the install base of GameCube (and continues to grow).
Dxtrinc @ Nov 13th 2006 12:08PM
why is that people cant just sit back and release how lucky we are to get all this stuff...this is the biggest release week I've ever seen. screw fanboyism
LOOK AT IT!!!!!!
ITS FUCKING NUTS!!!!!!!
But the ones i want the most are Final Fantasy 3 and Zelda
JodyAnthony @ Nov 13th 2006 12:12PM
at #31, Flit: As if there aren't enough arguments going on at Joystiq? God, people will complain about every single thing ever on this site. That being (hypocritically) said, why is saturday considered a 'weekend' day if it is not in fact at the end of the week? saturday and sunday are the 'weekends' because there is one at each end of the week. monday is not a weekend day (as much as I would like to convince my boss that it is)
Mal F4cti0n @ Nov 13th 2006 12:12PM
OH!
Thanks for the clarification on the NBA 07 versus NBA Live 07.
Dre (#28), I thought God of War 2, the game you are going to wait for on the PS3, is coming to the PS2. I remember hearing that from the developer, did they change it?
? @ Nov 13th 2006 12:14PM
i've been waiting almost 2 years to play The Legend of Zelda:Twilight Princess. Nintendo made this the single most important launch game since Super Mario 64. Lets hope that it makes all gamers proud.
Sonic @ Nov 13th 2006 12:14PM
- Resistance: Fall of Man
All a system needs at launch is just one game to carry it to the top stop for an entire generation, right? Super Mario 64 did, didn't it?
That PS3 price drop just can't come fast enough, can it?
Matt @ Nov 13th 2006 12:16PM
#1: No kidding! :(
I don't think it matters WHAT your preffered platform is... this is an amazing week to be a gamer, and I can't think of a single platform that's getting the shaft on releases this week! :'(
Flit @ Nov 13th 2006 12:18PM
@35.
Sorry, thought my sarcasm came through. forgot to "/sarcasm" at the end of the post. Thought my Hail Xenu would suffice.
JRM @ Nov 13th 2006 12:19PM
right now, The Wii games are like gamecube games, just with the new control scheme. I figure that's why there are so many Wii games out while there are NO Gamecube games on that list.
Obviously developers just tacked on the motion controls and released their games on the Wii rather than the Gamecube. Everyone talks about how the DS is the template for the Wii and Nintendo's new direction. Remember how the DS's first games were nothing but lame GBA games with touch controls? I see these Wii games being like that. Despite the variety, it's not enough to get excited about.

Not a fanboy either way, but just found this and thought it might be worth mentioning:
"We asked NVIDIA how long it would take until we saw a GPU faster than the RSX. Their answer: by the time the PS3 ships. So congratulations to NVIDIA for making the PS3 obsolete before it ever shipped, as G80 is truly a beast."

Sonic @ Nov 13th 2006 12:28PM

How are the PS3 games any different. Sure, some of the Wii games are just GC games but they've never denied for a minute that they weren't. The controller is the real change, not the updated graphics. Its easy to switch over a game from GC to Wii as they have the same basic architecture and since that took no time at all, they had plenty of time to change the controls around to fit with the Wii more.
With the PS3, how does having 80% ports and rehashes at launch show the true power of their system?
number40one @ Nov 13th 2006 12:31PM
Sweet! Teddy Factory!
Darkness @ Nov 13th 2006 12:33PM
JRM, that's not quite true. A few of those games (Trauma Center, Red Steel, Monkey Ball, Metal Slug Anthology, and Excite Truck) were originally Gamecube games. They may have been developed originally on Gamecube Dev kits (as that's all developers had originally), but I doubt they were originally planned for the Cube.

Heathen or not, Sunday IS the first day of the week. The Jewish Sabbath is on Friday night/Saturday morning which is at the END of the week, which is when God rested and subsequently when He commanded the Hebrews to rest. Even if you knew nothing of religion, tradition or history your arguement contradicts itself. I'm guessing you're confusing the word "Sunday" with "Sabbath". The two are not the same, however modern post-Constantine Chrisitans celebrate the Sabbath on Sunday rather than the traditional Hebrew day. But that fact does not change the order of days in our calendar week. It still begins with Sunday...
Amazing how off topic a gaming blog can get, eh?
