"No. GOD rested on the 7th day of the week, not the first. DUH! Heathens are the ones who list sunday on calendars as the first day of the week! It's secular-progressives (or sp's as i call em) that want wallyworld to call christmas the HOLIDAYS. The end is coming! All hail Xenu!"

Heathen or not, Sunday IS the first day of the week. The Jewish Sabbath is on Friday night/Saturday morning which is at the END of the week, which is when God rested and subsequently when He commanded the Hebrews to rest. Even if you knew nothing of religion, tradition or history your arguement contradicts itself. I'm guessing you're confusing the word "Sunday" with "Sabbath". The two are not the same, however modern post-Constantine Chrisitans celebrate the Sabbath on Sunday rather than the traditional Hebrew day. But that fact does not change the order of days in our calendar week. It still begins with Sunday...

Amazing how off topic a gaming blog can get, eh?

The PS3 is in an even worse position than the Wii. There is really nothing interesting for people outside of Sony Fanboys.

Sony's saving grace is that there'll be no PS3's available by the end of this month. Like last year's 360 launch, consumers can forget the system even exists until four months from now when PS3's reappear on shelves, maybe.

Oh man! You forgot to add the Virtual Console games**! Also, if money was no object and I had access to any particular system on this list I would get:

* The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
* Trauma Center: Second Opinion
* Excite Truck
* Resistance: Fall of Man
* Ridge Racer 7
* Final Fantasy III
* Yoshi's Island 2
* Gears of War (even though that was last week)

**You should add the Virtual Console to the list, lyke srsly, even if the games are old, many of them are high profile enough to warrant mention, imo.

"So congratulations to NVIDIA for making the PS3 obsolete before it ever shipped, as G80 is truly a beast."

By your inane line of reasoning, every machine that isn't the absolute fastest is obsolete. Your precious Wii and 360 are obsolete too.

Jesus.

Two things to ponder:

1) The 8800GTX costs more than a PS3.

2) The PS3 will be a viable platform longer than the G80 will.

Well, I know I want FFIII, and a Wii with Zelda and Red Steel.

Just don't know when and in what order I'll be getting any of those.

I'm also thinking aobut getting SOCOM: FTB2, but that was a last week release.

There's quite a few things I'd like to get from that list, but right now I can only afford a Wii and Red Steel. I'll get Zelda next week. :)

As opposed to the 360s launch titles

Amped 3 - Sequel
Call of Duty 2 - Sequel/Port/Rehash
Condemned: Criminal Origins
FIFA '06: Road to FIFA World Cup - Sequel/Port
GUN - Port
Kameo: Elements of Power
Madden NFL 06 - Sequel/Port
NBA 2K6 - Sequel/Port
NBA Live 06 - Sequel Port
Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Sequel/Port
NHL 2K6 - Sequel/Port
Perfect Dark Zero - Sequel/Port
Peter Jackson's King Kong - Port
Project Gotham Racing 3 - Sequel/Port
Quake 4 - Sequel/Port
Ridge Racer 6 - Sequel
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 06 - Sequel/Port
Tony Hawk's American Wasteland - Sequel/Port

So that is 89% sequels/ports or rehashed... I guess only 80% for PS3 would mean better

Resistance FoM is the PS3's killer app and is previewed as nothing more than CoD2 with aliens. I'll wait to buy this overpriced console when MGS comes out. Hopefully by then all the bugs from the exploding batteries in the wireless controller and the disastrous HDMI incompatibility are fixed.

If you would have clicked on the link, you would have seen that was a QUOTE from another site...quite possibly not the opinion of the poster.

I don't know if I've ever seen so many games shipping in one week. Many solids, too. Amazing. Everyone is getting some great games.

The PS3 and Wii both have a solid launch lineup. People who think otherwise don't know their history and/or are fanboys. The 360's launch was not very good compared to these two. However, if you were to walk into a store with no system, the 360 pretty much has the most to offer overall. I mean, it still comes down to personal taste to an extent.

I like playing the "if money isn't an issue game" Here are the games I would buy if money were not an issue. (new systems only

PS3

Resistence: Fall of Man (Not ussually a fan of FPS but like GoW I would give it a try)

Marvel Ultimate alliance (although I would like to see if perhaps Wii's control scheme was better before making this decision)

Wii

Excite Truck
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Madden NFL 07
Metal Slug Anthology
Rayman: Raving Rabbids
Red Steel
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz
Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam
Trauma Center: Second Opinion

Is the PS3 Launch list correct? I thought the basketball game wasn't coming out? I only count like 14 games there. Wasn't there supposed to be like 20+ games?

"for someone who has a blog to highlight the positive aspects of gamers... that sure is a negative comment."

What do you want me to say? Kumbaya?

That lineup is pathetic, especially for people like me who own an XBox 360. There is no way around it.

"...not denigrate our fellow gamers."

How is calling the PS3 launch game lineup pathetic denigrating my fellow gamers? Sony isn't a gamer, the PS3 isn't a gamer, the companies publishing games for the PS3 aren't gamers. Jesus. Me thinks someone had their inner fanboy bubble a bit too much towards the surface today.

And before you go all batshit insane, again, about this response and call me a fanboy of some sorts, let me just clear the air by saying I'm getting myself a PS3 this Thu at the Sony PlayStation3 launch event in New York City regardless of the poor launch lineup. I will also buy the Nintendo Wii this coming Sunday, if the Nintendo World Store in NYC has enough units for walk-ins, as they claim.

Genji (all crab jokes aside, I think this will be really good), Untold Legends, Zelda, Metal Slug Anthology, Red Steel, Rayman RR, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Final Fantasy III. I can't say that there's been another week that's released so many interesting games.

Mid-November releases attack gamer's wallets for MASSIVE DAMAGE!!!
