Crackdown video is explode-a-rific

We spent some time earlier today describing Crackdown's gameplay. It's sort of a GTA meets RoboCop concept. But why bother with words when you can actually see it in action? As we noted, many people will not look past the graphics when it comes to Crackdown. It's a stylistic choice, and one that Crackdown may pay for when it finally gets reviewed, but you'd be hard-pressed to say the game doesn't look entertaining. With transforming super cars, rocket juggling, and more explosions than you can shake a stick at, Crackdown looks like it will be a nice fix for action fans. You may not like the graphical style, but we dare anyone to say the explosions in this game don't look nice. Does this video change anyone's perception of the game?

This game looks like tons of fun and I like the more superhero style that they are going for. It's on my list of definite purchases!

I did make fun of some of the images having poor and blocky graphics (ie. his hands), but this game does look really intense and a lot of action which for me is lots of fun. Graphics don't make the game, they just enhance it. It looks decent graphically, and it looks great gameplay wise.

This game looks like it might be fun. I don't know, I'm really tired of the whole sandbox GTA-type game. And the odds seemed really stacked in favor of the jumpy guy in this game. Maybe if there were really difficult, intelligent enemies instead of the standard thugs it might be fun. Plus explosions are fun but honestly the explosions in this game don't look that great and it seems like they would get really boring if that's all that you did.

Is the main guy supposed to be Wesley Snipes (aka. Blade). Looks like fun to me, I'll wait for a demo before I shell out $59.99...

I think the graphics look awesome. It's nice to see summit less realistic once in a while. Jet Set Radio was beautiful. Also, the game does look quite fun. It's right up there on my maybe/probably list :)

this game looks very fun

The main characters still look like ••• GAY RAVER BIKERS •••. Which to me will never justify playing this or any other game. The Character designers for Crackdown should never be allowed to work in games again!
