Too bad none of that video is actual in game footage.

The dialogue seems kind of forced.

"Help me flip this thing over!"
"Alright, I'll do it, just shut the hell up."

Who the hell says stuff like that when bullets are flying at them?

A note to game developers: When the main characters are labeled as a two-man army, most people will assume that they are badasses. You don't need to ham it up with over-the-top machismo.

I've been waiting for a game specifically made for Co-op, and we've gotten real close, w/ splinter cell chaos theory and Halo 1 & 2. But, now we have two doses of goodness (supposed goodness, since I havent tried either). Both Army of Two, and Gears of War. T'is the season, to have a buddy!

Don't get me wrong, I am hella excited about this because of the gameplay aspect. This is truly a unique game.

But the dialogue, goddamn.

Some of this co-op stuff is too scripted tho, they don't give you the option to figure out new ways of doing things. Ao2 looks good I guess, but I had to laugh when ppl were commenting on the trailer on teamxbox, saying it looks better than GOW.

- Soapyshoes,

Go shove a Wii up your ass bud, that over-the-top macho talk is what makes the game good. Having a character that's "badass" is what sold GoW for me, and it's going to do the same for this game too. If you don't like hearing, as you'd put it, "potty mouth", stick to the Wii.

dumbasses talking tough does not a good game make. and if you're buying games based on the way your characters talk, stick to the teevee, pal.

T-Bag,

I kinda, and by kinda I mean totally, agree with Soapyshoes.
You on the other hand seem like the kinda guy that would think the Doom movie was God's gift to the Silver Screen... because The Rock is so macho.

Maybe this is just early signs of homosexuality. All of the red flags are there: heavily "macho", homophobia, anal insertion fantasies.... Before you rip on Soapy for having an intelligent opinion on violence and cursing just for the sake of violence and cursing, consider this: he's right. Ever since the Grand Theft Auto series made it acceptable, everyone is trying to cash in on "edge-y" games. Cursing does not make up for shitty voice acting and even worse scripts... Take a look at The Departed, overly violent, filled to the brim with cursing, but it doesn't seem forced. Soapy did not say that GOW (it was an awesome game, flawed by cliche story line, mediocore script with some definately funny lines, and a laughable final boss) was a bad game, nor did he say this game looked bad. He commented that the voice acting is corny. Which it is.

And WTF does any of this have to do with Wii, T-bag? No one mentioned Wii in any of the comments. You sound like a dumb-as-shit goth or metal kid who lives and breathes nothing but first person shooters.

Whoa, T-bag...dude. I really hope that your entire online persona is just a clever parody of stereotypical macho idiocy. If not then...I'm so sorry.

What's wrong with macho idiocy? Some of us like to have actual badasses as heroes. Nothing wrong with that. This game looks awesome. Tacky dialogue makes it all the better. The only thing lacking is the obvious Megadeth reference in the final line. Overcoming obstacles? You pussies.

Wow, the first trailer was badass, especially since they didn't talk. Now that I've heard their voices, sounds like they need a little shot of testosterone.

Does anyone else get that certain feeling of EA blandness while watching that vid? Could be the overly hot narrator chick with the perfect newscaster voice.. or those two totally opposite protagonists(which I'm not even gonna elaborate on before I get a Wii shoved up my ass too.. )

Nothing about this game really seems original in any way. They seem to be touting a robust co-op and a cover system. This is a game made be EA, who just recently commented that Gears of War isn't innovative. They just made the same game without the drawing power of Gears.

If you make it, they will come.

Seriously, there's far too many nintendo fanboys here going LOL DA DIALOUGE MAKZ IT BAD. Don't get me wrong - I hate EA as much as the next guy, if not more so (I was a Westwood fanboy. Nuff said.), but you guys need to relax a bit.

1) "Overly hot narrator"? I've seen a number of "overly hot" characters in games before, and not only have I no problem with it, I hardly see how this woman qualifies as that. She just looks like the average "female-overvoice" they use for RTS games a lot (Red Alert 2, anyone?)

2) The machoness. I agree, it's a bit corn, but who cares? Corny lines make some things better in cases; as long as they don't make it completely over done (And it's possible they will, seeing as how EA has a habit of overdoing stuff), there shouldn't be much of an issue. Besides, they're SUPPOSED to be macho; what the hell would be the point of having a two man army if they spend the whole God damn time whining like little girls? Everyone would avoid that game like the PLAGUE, cause that'd just be total stupidity.

3) To the Wii fanboys who are clearly a little upset - I'm sorry Red Steel sucked so badly (And I'm sorry, but it does. Yes, I've played it, quite a bit - the sword aspect is broken, the story line makes limited sense, the sword fights themselves aren't even necessary...), but please... don' take it out on us. Kay?

God that's annoying.
