Hardcore just got a lot more hardcore. PlayStation 3 devotees camping outside of a Lexington, Kentucky Best Buy were showered with BB-gun pellets last night in an apparent drive-by shooting. The suspect, who is still at-large, even managed to peg a local news reporter interviewing one of the stationed hopefuls. No serious injuries were reported. As for motive, Engadget opines the shooter was bitter about missing out on a pre-order opportunity. Our guess, an Xbox

I don't know who's side to take. They were probably eBay scalpers anyway.

Jack Thompson's worst fears realized. GTA inspired drivebys.
I'm gonna go continue laughing now.

They have to settle for a shitty console instead of the awsome Ps3.

Actually, this act of violence is more than likely committed by a Sony fanboy pissed about getting is own PS3. Any 360 or Wii fan would likely stand outside the crowd and mock, only someone pissed about NOT getting the system would turn violent. If you're looking for someone to point fingers to, look around at the pissed off Sony fans who missed out!

Geez, you could get a XBOX 360 and a Nintendo Wii for less than that price. In addition, not get shot while waiting for them.

My thought after reading the article was, "What kind of lame drive-by uses BB pellets?"
One ticket to Hell, please.

And don't think just because the crappy airsoft guns you've used that they are all like that. My 280FPS (feet per second) P90TR shoots 9RPS (rounds per second) with .2g ammo. That leaves some really nasty welts. My 380FPS Desert Eagle .50AE shoots a whopping 380FPS and is run off propane, semi-auto blowback. That thing can draw blood. At my friend's 430FPS Sniper Rifle is bolt-action, but believe me when I say you DON'T want that hitting you.

Way to be politically incorrect and offensive, Joystiq.

Jesus, grow a pair would you guys? What a bunch of nancies. Joystiq isn't advocating this behavior. They are informing us that it happened. Then you "I'm too sensitive to violence" types start pointing fingers as though they are somehow responsible or perpetuating the incidents.
Politically incorrect?
That's so gay.

Fhaze deserves a star for that. Let's make it happen, Joystiq.
DWells55, no one is impressed with your gun collection. Way to write an introductory paragraph for your real intent, which was to "show off" how cool you think you are.
Funny picture, funny caption. Don't listen to the whiners.

The problem with people today is we all gate ourselves in our own little perfect house and perfect world and then anytime we actually have to deal with the real world we all just cry and get offended. The world would be a much better place if people stopped taking shit so seriously.

Anyone camping out days in advance for a game console can't possibly have an actual job or any real responsibility.

If you dumb enough to sit in line for a video game same, you deserve to be taken out of the gene pool.

It's not a game console; It's bling.

i could list a whole bunch of other more recent examples but im sure you get my point

Second. Guys... No one was hurt. That makes it ok to laugh. Didn't you get your playground rule book? I mean honestly it's a BB gun. It coulda-It coulda-It coulda. But it didn't. Therefore we can laugh.
(And I've been shot more than once due to teens and family members goofing off with BB guns. It's not bad)

Oh yeah it sounds to me like some people here are kind of jealous they arent standing in line to get one right now.

I second the motion for Fhase to get a star. #7 is good stuff.

Oh and the reason sites like these have less and less PS3 fanboys is most likly because most of us have other things to do, the next time you see some PS3 fans, they'll probs be posting from thier PS3s.
