Shiggy Miyamoto celebrates 54 years of never growing up

Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto and creator of Mario, Donkey Kong, and Zelda to name a few turned 54 today. Happy birthday, Shiggy! Will the young at heart (read: all us gamers) please stand up.

Of course he's young at heart! With every heart container, he extends his life.

You just gotta love this guy. He's an example to all of us of why we play games. You can tell from his constant smile that he truly loves his job and loves making games that we enjoy. I happen to be a 360 fanboy and have no problem trashing ken, kaz, and phil; but to trash shiggy is to trash the entire industry. I welcome many, many more years of his work with open arms and a big, shiggy-smile

Shiggy's work has been a constant companion all my life. I staring at 30 years old and my best gaming memories all include Shiggy's work. Happy Birthday and many happy returns.

I'll stand up for Shiggy! Not to take anything away from some of the great other names out there...Kojima...Meier...Wright...but Miyamoto is tops in my book when it comes to the advancement of our hobby/vice/addiction.

As for Shiggy, the man is a god in gaming.
He is in the business because he loves his job and does it for the benefit of us all.
