$100 million for a PS3? What a bargain!

WOW.....this is prolly some stupid joke, but still, the thought of 10mil for a ps3 is just sad. The news reported of a guy throwin sum1 into a pole, and now the guy has serious brain damage.....wat a bunch of idiots.....and plus, wouldnt u wait for the real- good ps3 to come out, u know, the one without the glithces?

hmm, i like how one person said that it was 1 million, than another said 10, another person got 3500+4000 for 2 and said he got almost 6000? Its obviously a fake bid for the people who got blown away and said "i cant believe someone bought it for that much", its 99 million, short 1 dollar from 100 million, atleast count the numbers before u spat out a random number.

That's my roommate! We both pre-ordered PS3's from GameStop to sell on eBay. We were pretty excited about it, but began to gave up hope when it went past $10,000.

Sony should be held liable for the riots and incidents that there product launch created. This was a preventable and foreseable outcome given then circumstances. It is illegal to yell "fire" in a theatre since it could cause a panic, and anyone who does so is held accountable for their actions.

i think its pretty sweet that people were able to make use of this dope business oportunity and its even funnier that people mess with them. it all evens out this way its not as easy to sell one so the fake bidders get what they want but if they work hard enough to make sure its not fraud then they deserve to sell it for the high prices.

It is so funny to see people buy a 650 system for more than the retail price. The PS3 is gonna be a major letdown with almost good release titles and their decent games coming out in spring of 07. PS3 is gonna end up just like the PSP: a waste of money and nice heavy paper weight that sits on shelves.

DONT HATE... glitches?! problems?! im sorry i got 8 ps3's in my possesion and i was smart about how i got em... dont tell people about glitches n BS your just saying this cuz YOU DONT HAVE ONE!!!!! so DONT HATE!!!! i already opened one up and played 10 games out of 21 that are currently out right now... and man o man... wat a beautiful gaming console.... whoever stayed in line you have to admit it was survival of the fittest.. whether you had 2 gallons of someones sweat all over you.. or whether you were squished for 2 hours straight if you got one in da end it was all worth it... its sad that sony does this to people but sony is sony they can do watever they want all i have to say is DONT HATE on people who got one just cuz YOU DIDNT as for everyone else good luck on bidding for christmas presents for your kids or for yourself... as for prices.. its all about SUPPLY AND DEMAND...as for me... imma happy guy and i aint working for the next 6-7 months... there's nothing with people selling PS3s on ebay. there is something wrong with them not releasing adequate numbers of consoles.

what is the difference? it's simple. a lot of people dont have money, if they decide to 'scalp' a ps3 to some idiot who has enough money to waste a few grand on it then that is called 'justice' in my book. i have a friend, he has no money, he needs it bad, so he got a ps3 and is gonna sell it...now he doesnt have to worry about getting evicted and can get food. now sony obviously doesnt have any of these real life worries, they're just abusing their fans because they can and because they think it will generate more money and hype (which it probly will). dont diss people are just out there playin the game tryin to make money to help them in a country with no health care, expensive education, high standards of living, etc. hate the billionaire company that isnt giving you what you want.

This is so stupid it's funny. Why? Why would you pay that much when you could've just reserved one and payed what $600? First of all Xbox 360 is better. Cheaper. And has a better online community. You might as well wait until like March to get one. To the guy who bought it...you have NO life and rely on mommy and daddy to buy you stuff.

If you ever remember what you were suppsoed to have learned in economics class you would have realized that the buyers are the ones who are willing and able to pay the hefty prices thus its stupid to call it price gouging. Funny thing is, I was watching that bid and since ebay has no easy way to report things to them, nothing could be done. First joke bid was 10 million and then it kept going up.

I have mixed feelings about thousand dollar ps3's. On one hand you have playstation loyalist who actually want a ps3 for themselves and have lives in which they cant camp for 3 days in front of a store that only has 10 systems. They actually got a raw deal on this whole thing. Its either wait for the next shipments or be forced to buy 1 for thousands of bucks. You think people want to spend thousands of dollars on a ps3 vs $600. But at the same time, there is people camping out for days adn ultimatly putting there life at risk for a game console. If your willing to risk your well being to get 1 and sell it, then go right on and do it. You can rightfully say you earned your money. You can sell it on ebay but more than not you will run into fraudelent bids, as the case now. It may be illegal to make fraud bids on ebay but thats the way of the world. maybe all this ruckus will send a message to sony. On another note Buying a ps3 right now would be idiotic. For starters sony is not know for its long lasting systems. You would be lucky to have a ps2 working in good condition for a year. Another reason, havent we learned our lesson from the 360. There were so many problems with the 360's hardware and alot of people who spent thousands of bucks on it got a big surprise, especially after the 3month warranty ran out and i believe the ps3 is a way more delicate system than a 360. With that said why would the thought of buying 1 for your 12 year old child cross your mind. An investment like that should be researched. Its probably not going to do to well as its making the mistake nintendo did when jumping from the snes to the n64, making it hard on 3rd party game developers by making games blu ray.they already lost rockstar and exclusive right to square enix and unlike nintendo they dont have 1st party support like mario. But i think i said enuff and to sum it up its a shame for ps loyalist that actually work for a living but if your dumb enuff to buy it so soon than ha ha good for you.
