Happy PlayStation music day [update 1]

With the PlayStation 3's North American launch today, Sony continues its push for market dominance in an unprecedented third straight generation of game consoles. With that in mind, we thought we'd use this week's music showcase to highlight some of the games that have become synonymous with the Playstation name over the last ten years. Please enjoy the following selections from Metal Gear Solid, Tekken 2, and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.

Shouldn't it be God of War, Devil May Cry and Tekken? Not series that started on the NES and get ports to the other systems?

Unprecedented third generation...?

I'm not a fanboy of anything, per se. But unprecedented does mean it never happened before, right? Like, they're saying no one has had three consoles in a row?

Not to be a stickler for details (not a bad trait, however, if you're going to be a journalist)but isn't the Wii the fifth console Nintendo has come out with in a row? Shit, eight if you count Gameboy, GBA and DS.

He's trying to say that no company has dominated three console generations in a row.

Castlevania: SotN is the best Castlevania game ever, and one of the best games of all time, in my opinion. The music alone pushes it far above other titles.
