filipinos tend to nickname friends/people based literally on their names or pronounciations, pac-man came from 'pac'quiao obviously

Pac-man in Punch-Out ... now THAT would have been great. Actually, put almost any cartoon character in a new version of punchout and you have a surefire winner. Imagine playing a boxing game where one of your opponents is SpongeBob Squarepants ... I'd pay $50 for that.

Aside from the actual game itself, I tend to think of Sean Penn in 'Colors' when I hear the name 'Pac Man."

"You look like Pac Man in that yellow car..."
"That's right, I'm like Pac Man... Gobbling up crime!"

Personally, I don't mind Joystiq going out of their jurisdiction, but to get back on topic with this 'off topic' post, maybe we could speculate on a Uwe Boll vs. Pacquiao bout?
