Jeez, enough with the bullshit about how the PSP does so much more than a DS. Who actually uses their PSP for anything but games?

And before you say I'm a Nintendo fanboy, I sold my DS Lite and kept my PSP. Why? The PSP has better games.

Max, I agree that we all already know what the PSP does and is meant for, and what a NDS is.
But, for "Who actually uses their PSP for anything but games": I myself use it as an mp3-player at work, watch anime shows on it while lying in bed, subscribe to video-podcasts via the RSS-feed and surf the net while taking a dump. Err, forget that last one. I agree that the friends I know don't use their PSP that excessively, but they sure use it for more than just games. Much more.

I use my PSP as a portable video player and internet browser, two amazing functions I can't live without.

I use it for watching movies, TV shows, I download news podcasts and watch the news on my PSP. I use it to play MP3s of songs. I download talkradio podcasts and listen to them. I sometimes surf the web with it, and most definitely play games on it.

For me, the DS is to childish. I really like that the PSP's multimedia capabilities. Works for me.

26 DS vs. 30PSP games means the PSP has more affordable games???
With the majority of PSP games priced at $40 - $50, I think it can safely be said the DS features more affordable games with pricing maxed out at $35.
Even looking at sub $20 games, 26 DS vs 30 PSP games is statistically a tie.
Rabid fanboyism is a disease that should be avoided at all cost.

The $50 price point for PSP games is another fanboy myth perpetrated by bashers. In reality, EB has all of TWO games priced at $49.99 - the rest are $39 and $29. There seems to be a slim majority of $39 titles, meaning there's almost half the PSP library is priced below the upper tier DS titles.

Some DS games even debut at $39.99, like Final Fantasy & Zelda, while a vast number are at that $34.99 mark. So all in all, PSP games simply aren't much, if any, more expensive on average.

All games cost the same over here (besides next-gen titles) at £30.

Duh the demand for PSP games aren't as high as DS games. I only have one PSP game and its THUG2 i've had it since launch. My PSP is nothing more than just a MP3 player, since my RIO broke...so there us go, Sony shouldn't be going all multimedia in a GAMING INDUSTRY

This to me is all about demand.

With the exception of GTA LCS how many of those $20 games do you actually want?

It seems to me NDS games stay at a high price because people are willing to buy them at that price. Which does not seem to be the case with most PSP titles.

The lack of software sales for the PSP are driving developers to take this course of action and hopefully sell as many of the already produced units as they can.

Count ourselves lucky that the PSP hasn’t done so well or the games wouldn’t dropping to an appealing price range.
