This might not be Sony or PS3 news specifically, however, it is a big part of Sony's success, like it or not. Here's what went down -- president and CEO of Square-Enix (and in response to a prior comment, yes, Enix released Terranigma, but here's a little bit of more obscure knowledge: Terranigma is the spiritual sequel to Illusion of Gaia, which is awesome too. Enix is awesome and buying Square was a fantastic move. Yes, Enix bought Square.) ...where was I? Oh. CEO and president John Yamamoto said Europe may become a bigger market than Japan by publishing and developing more "Western" games in the future. John Wayne western, or Might and Magic western?Yamamoto implies that the company isn't looking for people one-by-one for a new studio, rather, they want to acquire existing, independant studios already in Europe and the US. Whatever happened to Squaresoft of America, anywho (Secret of Evermore -- often overlooked humorous Secret of Mana copy, very cool)? One last quote that explains this subject is this: "We have been making titles exclusively for one format for a long time but now we have titles for all formats." Awesome. Maybe the 360 will get a port of Final Fantasy XII and actually play something pretty damn epic -- not a 12-hour romp of shooting things in a very fun way, but... ah, you know what I mean. I'm activating the flame barrier now.
