Last week we reported that TeamXtender had plans to create an adapter for your 360 so you could hookup your mouse, keyboard or PS2 controller. Today, TeamXbox received some prototype shots of the device as TeamXtender seems to be moving full speed ahead in development. The adapter itself is looking a tad large, but I guess beauty is neglected as functionality is the main focus. More pictures after the jump.

Who the hell would want to give up the smooth contours of the 360 controller for the harsh edges of the PS2 controller, especially since the left analog stick is in the wrong place? Mouse and keyboard would be cool, though.

Yesss. Mouse and Keyboard.
I probably won't buy it, but it's a good option. I had similar device for my Xbox, it was nice.
And, yes, it is possible for Mouse and Keyboard to run through the 360, to those last time who doubted.

I'd be more interested in an adapter for the PS3 to connect my 360 controller. -If- I had a PS3, and -if- it played my 360 games. Oh, and -if- it cost $399.

to moksha..
If MS didnt change to their current controller.. Id say me.. I hated when Id play my bros Xbox due to being more familur, not to mention more confortable, with the DualShock.. (He didnt have the smaller model.. just the good ole DUKEs)
So for me then this woulda been ideal.. But now having a 360, I actually prefer their controller.. Felt weird picking up the controller the other day on a PS3 kiosk..

Nice. Hopefully now I won't have to buy new dance pads or a guitar when DDR and Guitar Hero II finally come out.

I have no problem plugging in a usb keyboard to the 360 already. works fine typing in the dashboard. Maybe this will allow control of a fps ?

The less people who use this the better. If I wanted to play with the mouse and keyboard I would game on my PC.

The problem with playing on a PC is price. You can't get anything decent for gaming with spending at least 3x as much as a 360 (or PS3 for that matter).
I had something similar to this for the original XBox, from the Lik-Sang. In a word, it sucked. It didn't have smooth motion, and was very inaccurate. I still played better than on the controller because I was raised on Mouse/KBD, but it was a far cry from a PC.
I wish Microsoft would add in-game keyboard / mouse support. You can already use a keyboard for typing stuff, but the mouse is a no-go.

I wonder if the Logitech G25 Race Wheel or the Logitech DFP wheel work on this through the USB part of this adapter, maybe it recognizes the wheel differently than the USB ports on the Xbox 360 itself.
