Homebrew FTW: firmware 3.01 decrypted

Just to help you keep track of it all:

Nov 20 - Firmware 3.00 available.
Nov 21 - Suspicious "security issue" found.
Nov 22 - Firmware 3.01 available.
Nov 22 - Firmware 3.00 and 3.01 decrypted.

Noobz, a popular PSP coder, proudly announced that the newly released 3.01 firmware has been decrypted. What does that mean? It means the homebrew community is working harder, and faster, than ever, to keep up with Sony. With the firmware decrypted, hopefully it won't be too long until something tangible appears for homebrew users.

So when do you think firmware 3.02 will come out? Tomorrow?

fyi: Noobz is a group of coders not just one.

just a sec. does this mean that 3.00 and 3.01 can be backdated to 1.5?

why are you all happy? now piracy will continue on PSP and games will keep selling like crap. I love my psp, and i really want to see it do better in software department, but i am now starting to think that this won't be happening any time soon.

well with the psp being out for sometime, why is it that many people don;t have much games? Expensive? crap games?
I would like to play older console games on my psp.
I brought two games for psp, and i don't see anything eles out there i want, so........ time to get some quality game s on it:)
Mabe sony should learn from there mistake and stop rushing these freaking firmwares every day!

I, for one, am happy with it. I just hope there's a way to make people buy games through the Network service, even if they're using devhooked firmware. I mean, there's no need for piracy on 6 bucks titles. Sony needs to make some smart moves right now, and we can't keep blaming the haxx0rz for doing what many want: Homebrew. It's the moral debacle that we're facing, sirs!

Any word on glitches or problems with 3.00/3.01? I've heard of cases where the music visualizer causes "blips" during music playback.

Don, the RSS-channel timer doesn't work. It powers off the PSP like 10secs after it started downloading.

Im taking that there is a tiny chance ill be able to play homebrew on my 3.00 psp soon, yea? or not?

so thoes this means i don't have to downgrade my psp to play isos?
and by the way can i homebrew my psp whit TA-086 motherboard?

i accidentaly upgraded to 3.01 too...and the night before i downgraded it from 2.00 to 1.50...but it was the first day i had had the psp and wanted to try out the wifi function..so i upgraded :$

so please, i want to see some actual homebrew on my psp screen...

Can't someone take the new upgrade, then *tweak* it and take out some security, put in stuff they need, and keep the awsome upgrade software, and then after taking out security and putting in needed homebrew software post it on the internet for downloading? It can be like "blackmartket firmware." Although it will be a bitch to do all of that.

something for 3.01 better come out soon, I stupidly, sub-conciously upgraded thinking I'll still be able to use devhook, just so I could play socom 2. If a downgrader/emulator comes out, I need it!!

i have a 3.00 psp. can i play games from iso that r loaded on to the memory stick?
devhook .51 emulates 3.01 on a 1.5 fw or does it allow u to play iso's on a 3.01?

ok this is not at all a bad thing its mees progress
3.01 has meny new fetures and down grading was olny so you coud read .root flders now that its 3.00 and 3.01 you dont't nead to to use all that cus it will read .root now
so upgrading to 3.01` works for me from 2.80 to 3.01 now i able to run the snes emulater
and outer stuff

i heard that Once you update to 3.01 or 3.02,thers no turning bak, you cant downgrade, so your pretty much screwd if you update it, well i upadted it and only found a day after that i catn use ISO files anymore , and i got pissed off

you shouldn't downgrade it will brick your psp

ask one of your friends if they have ps3 they would probably let you get ps1 games on your psp

Hi i have just bought a psp 1.5 firmware version and stupid me i upgraded to 3.20 now i cant downgrade. Someone help me!!! I had devhook on my 1.5 but now i cant acsess it! HELPP!!

Hehe i had 2.7 firmware. I looked around and found a way to downgrade to 1.5. I was super excited to try it and ended up frying my bois over it =S. My psp bricked lol. I guess it happens sometimes when you try to downgrade. Anywho i wouldnt try to downgrade. I would just wait for them to make homebrew for your 3.00/3.01

i have upgraded my psp system to the 3.01 version and i completley forgot about onli haveing homebrew on 1.5, is it possible to downf=grade my 3.01 system or play homebrew games on it?

does anybody actually know when the noobz thing will alow devhook e.t.c. for .when does the thing come out.also is the firmwire 3.02 a hacked version or sony-will that allow the homebrew applications, because some guy was shouting horay for some reason.
