Animal Crossing: The Movie

There are few things more uplifting in the world of online games than Nintendo's Animal Crossing. We can't help smiling whenever we hear that theme tune. In Japan, where the DS version of AC has patterned the floors of three million households, Tom Nook and pals are leaving town and are headed for the big screens of Japan's movie theaters. Doubutsu no Mori: The Movie will be showing in cinemas across the nation as of December 16th. Tickets are already on sale at our local convenience store. We should go to see the movie on Day One, really, but we have a fishing contest to attend. Shame. Seems the nation's future generations of forest-dwelling fishermen and fisherwomen are all mad for it, though:

I wonder if Tom Nook will be the villain.

I hope the adaptation isn't TOO faithful. Otherwise, the movie would be absolutely fucking boring, too.

They probably get so many per day, so I'm sure it took them forever to go through all the stuff they get :P

I can see 10 more of these to follow in my future.

Ah, so now we can watch instead of play.

Will the DVD have unlockable scenes of other people playing NES classics?

I just threw up a little. This is going to be as bad as Dead or Alive. At least that had some cheap T&A.

Unless you are between the age of 2 and 13, this isn't the movie for you anyway.

It's a bloody childrens movie, not a work of art or anything like that.

That looks to be as random as the game itself. Nice. Can't wait to get it once its on torrents. :D

What's next, Animal Crossing anime series? AC is starting to become Nintendo's next Pokemon to whore out to merchandising franchiese everywhere.

doubutsu no mori = Animal's Forest. Just in case ya were wondering !

I wonder will a small japanese man dressed in a Resetti suit comes and beats the crap out of you if you leave the Cinema without properly turning off the projector?
