that doesn't really surprise me seeing as how Pepsi is the drink of choice for China's youth these days.
you can't walk anywhere without seeing a Pepsi poster or watch TV without spotting a star-studded commercial.

Think beer commercials, except replace every single one with a Pepsi ad.

Unrelated Question: I thought Nintendo was going to release new Virtual Console games every Monday following launch? It's past 4pm EST now and no new games have been posted yet... anyone know what's going on?

Wow, I wrote a comment earlier about how there shouldn't be a console war, because companies like Pepsi and Coke aren't in a "beverage war". http://www.joystiq.com/2006/11/27/new-yorker-wii-doesnt-have-to-win-to-be-a-winner/#c2793771
Then SuperChuck agreed with my point, http://www.joystiq.com/2006/11/27/new-yorker-wii-doesnt-have-to-win-to-be-a-winner/#c2794325

And here we are in an article about the cola wars. Either this is very ironic, or Joystiq has posted this story because of my comment.

Nevertheless, even though Pepsi obviously wants to be successful, you don't see websites flooded with millions of posts about which cola is the best. I keep my claim.

Well this is pretty funny, I guess that soda and video games have been together since the beginning though. I'm thinking about a certain Genesis(?) game with the red Dot from 7-Up. Then the X360 and Mountain Dew deal. It just works out.

And it's NCsoft.

Hopefully this goes over well. I miss having a competitive Asian country with a high in-game population participating in pvp. The Japanese are doing pretty good but there aren't a lot of them playing compared to Euros and Americans.
