Killzone returns: "biggest multimedia project in Dutch history"

nothing will kill halo? many games, including mario kart and pokemon sold more than halo.

You cant "Kill" Halo. It was a great game.
I Just hope they take everything that was good in Killzone and take it to the next level and make the game almost as good as halo, or just as good as halo, or better would be just fine too.

Either way if they come close they will be shooting at the right target and I will be buying.

Halo was not that great of a game. If you thought it was then you are a complete fanboy. The only reason it was as good as it is, is because of the multiplayer. I play it all the time with my friends but can't stand it if I'm trying to play by myself. SOCOM had a better storyline.... and it doesn't even have a real story-line!

Also the only reason the graphics were some what amusing was because of the fact that every thing in the game is made out of rectangles and triangles. ie: the suit, the warthog, the buildings, the guns.

I'm confused why people are hung up on the "halo killer" idea. If you have half a brain you will disregard it.

What I'm confused about is why they think over 20 million for a game is a huge amount of cheese...Wasn't the budget for FFVII 10 years ago something like 7 million?

And 120 developers is suppose to be a lot? Due to the complexity of the hardware and the added attention to detail in today's AAA titles, I would say 120 developers is just over what I would expect.

I only hate 2 things. People who are intolerant of other cultures....and the Dutch.

look at # 36 what exclusives do you have sony? msg4 will be garbage like the others. killzone looking like the trailer? ha did motorstorm look like the e3 trailer. not even 100 miles from it. motorstorm looks like garbage. im not saying killzone will look like garbage, but it wont look like the trailer. wont play better than halo. ps3 sucks cause they tried to make it just like xbox. harddrive,online network, wireless everything, arcade games. i could keep going. better graphics for ps3 yea in a year or 2. not better games tho.

I picked up PS2 when it came out and couldn't believe how crappy the games were... no revolutionary titles that just screamed epic like Mario 64 and Turok 64. Eventually some better games came out but I already sold the piece of junk, bought a gamecube and gave it away to my sister's kids, and finally found a home with Xbox before they were released. Ever since then I've been playing Halo, Halo 2, and now Gears of War, with Halo 3 coming in addition to ten or so other games that look better than any PS3 games. I'll pick up a Wii eventually to play Zelda and Mario Galaxy, but never a PS again. Their games are worth my time and the Sony treats its customers and partners like poo.

I'm not a big Microsoft fan but they are rolling up their sleeves and making the Xbox into a gamer's heaven and I feel sorry for everyone who's missing out.

why are you guys talking about a "halo-killer" in case you forgot halo is on a different console than killzone which means that everybody that still plays halo 2 like it came out yesterday will still play halo 2 when killzone comes out (evan if it does turn out to be the single best FPS to ever hit store shelves) only because they have it burned in their minds that its the best and nothing can compare to it unless its halo 3. and all the sony fanboys are going to stick by killzone or whatever else sony may say is going to "kill" halo, weather its a good game or not thats just the way it works. so i think people should stop saying that a game is going to kill halo because sony still doesnt have a game that matches halo and i dont think killzone is going to the game to match it either just because sony tried to convince us the same thing with killzone 1 and look what happened there and because of that i think there are going to be to many people that are going to remember killzone 1 and say no thanks to killzone 2. no i would like to see a game kill or even match halo just because im sick of hearing from everybody about halo 2 yeah it was a great game but personally i think halo 1 was overall a better game than halo 2 i there are plenty of other very good games to than just sticking to your beloved halo 2
