Prominent American blogger Jason Kottke with an unhealthy love for NHL '94 posts his first impressions and minor reservations after playing Wii at a friend's house.
"I haven't enjoyed a gaming system this much since a certain plumber and his green-clad brother ba-da-bum-ba-da-bum-bummed their way into our hearts ... Not only do I want to play it again right now (so badly) despite having to stand up and move around and stuff, I want to play it again right now (so badly) because I want to stand up and move around and stuff."
Usability conscious Kottke critiques what he calls a "little clunky" Wii menu system and shares his doubts in how precise the Wiimote can control slight on-screen movements when compared to conventional controllers. Sounds like Monkey Ball was being difficult during his play time.
